#266872 What's your favorite airline you've never flown with?

Real World Aviation
Anyway, my favourite is probably Lufthansa or Singapore Airlines. Lufthansa is by far the best European airline now and Singapore Airlines is just gold. Albeit a sexist airline.
I have never flown with either of them. The only main aircraft manufacturer I haven’t flown on is Embraer.

New Players and Questions
The problem with the A380 is the fact that if you use a more dense config it becomes really hard to provide decent frequency. And even if you do get enough demand to get good frequency, with demand comes competition, so you earn little per seat. I have 3 configs on my A380 currently, one 70 C 600Y config for domestic operations and routes, and two international configs, 8F 42C 350/416Y. It's a good thing you can only receive 1 A380 every 4 weeks otherwise I'd have too many for my own good.
that's the thing
To run an a380, you need at least 2 of these 3 things
High demand low competition airports with long runways
High demand unnoticed routes
A high demand country of operation at both ends of the route (for connections mainly as backup)
If you have a high demand low competition airport and high demand unnoticed routes, you'll make a lot of money. If you don't have high demand unnoticed routes, you'll still make a good amount. If you have only one or none of the 3, you will likely get murdured. Having all 3 will be one of the rarest things and you should jump on it at the earliest opportunity

You think the A380 is too big to be profitable?
no. But it can be challenging to find routes for it to run at decent frequencies sometimes. And when you do, they can be heavily contested

I would say have an option to do this. You can do the current system, or you can do the one you suggested.
Maybe, like a tab on the routes page?
obviously.

assuming that people will legitimately pay to use the forums
I literally just said this wont happen for good reason. A page of aviation related adverts could bring in serious dough though

This is quite clearly a troll suggestion. The centre of the AE community or whatever remains of it is the forum. Making it paid will tear it to pieces. Also, discord will get HUGE business from AE if paid forums become a thing. Aviation related advertising. Sure, i'd be up for some aviation christmas gifts to myself. I need to treat myself every now and then . And the game will make significant money from it.

Iberia is not a fair example. Also, that plane is going to have days off on maintenance to cover its long shifts.
I think 125 should be the ABSOLUTE maximum cap if we will bring it down. But for long haul that is still low. 140 is actually not that high when you realise how much Norwegian 787s fly. They are a rare case but not unrealistic. That is why I think there is no need to change the hour caps. Although that is 18+gate timings. This game actually makes no sense. ALEN or AEn has a very good model on route scheduling. It is quite tough with route scheduling but it keeps most airlines in order and prevents them from absolutely hammering their aircraft. Especially since AEn passengers don't like flying at redeye hours

This is a 3D problem.
Because you have the following dimensions for select a best profitable plane:
- PAX
- Range
- ERA
yes. Very very true
12 months ago, LJ asked me how many routes I had found with demand for 2 daily A380s. From major tier 1 and 2 global cities, any route to another major capital in a major country will provide enough. LGW-JFK, LGW-MAD, LGW-DXB. Just to name 3. I would fly A380s to all aside from madrid because madrid is WAY TOO short for an a380 to justify it. I'd just flood the frequencies instead

What waste. This could be great revenue potential
Yh it is. Just that the devs have pretty much given up. No more updates or features can be expected.
DONT NECRO THREADS FFS
Fair enough. This member may well be new to forums in general. I know how frustrating necro-ing of threads can be. But I was genuinely unaware that this was even suggested. Needless to say, necro should be avoided. This is an old ass post.

Much needed, but perhaps there could be better monitoring of PM's. I'm getting spammed by banned members. I don't know whether to take it and leave it, take it as a victory hymn, or chirp back?
screenshot a few of their worst messages and send them off.

Exactly. The A350 is more of a long-range aircraft while the 787 more of a medium to long- haul aircraft.
It is an ultra-long range aircraft as well. Qantas has started direct flights to Perth from london using 787 aircraft!

i believe its in the ballpark of 1F=10Y 6C=10Y
F takes a lot less than that. It's about
F=3Y
C=6Y
Y=Y

It has gotten even worse in the last 24 hrs or so! I can't set up routes under 2100 miles now!
I'd say there is no real point in hoping for anything here. This game hasn't received an update in 5 years. The last major update was in like 2010, maybe even earlier. Just don't hope for anything, and wait it out. It's probably a temp glitch

1. You love jet noise. Depends, I like the engine noise on startup, that's about it for me.
2. Whenever you hear a roaring/buzzing sound you immediately look up at the sky. Yup
3. You can tell a 767-200 from a -300 at a quick glance. Yup
4. Whenever you take a trip, usually you look forward to the flight more than the destination. Not really
5. On pictures from the said trip a good majority was on the plane you flew. Sometimes
6. You almost always take a window seat. Yup
7. Aircraft type and airline is a high priority when picking a flight. Not really, unless it's not Ryanair or Onur Air I'm fine with any airline
8. You can tell the difference between a 747-300 and a 747-400. Yeah, but can you tell the difference between a -200SUD and a -300?
1. You love jet noise. Depends. I like taxi and takeoff noise, but nothing else.
2. Whenever you hear a roaring/buzzing sound you immediately look up at the sky. Yup
3. You can tell a 767-200 from a -300 at a quick glance. Yup
4. Whenever you take a trip, usually you look forward to the flight more than the destination. Depends on the flight
5. On pictures from the said trip a good majority was on the plane you flew. Almost never
. You almost always take a window seat. Nope. Especially not on long hauls. I do on short hauls, because I almost never get up.
7. Aircraft type and airline is a high priority when picking a flight. YES! MASSIVELY HIGH
8. You can tell the difference between a 747-300 and a 747-400. Yeah. -400 has winglets, -300 does not.
