#253311 So are the developers going to fix the bugs?

Posted by Tesla on 22 November 2017 - 06:08 PM in General AE Discussion

It has gotten even worse in the last 24 hrs or so! I can't set up routes under 2100 miles now!

I'd say there is no real point in hoping for anything here. This game hasn't received an update in 5 years. The last major update was in like 2010, maybe even earlier. Just don't hope for anything, and wait it out. It's probably a temp glitch

#251420 How to know if you're a plane enthusiast.

Posted by Tesla on 12 November 2017 - 09:28 PM in Off Topic

1. You love jet noise. Depends, I like the engine noise on startup, that's about it for me.
2. Whenever you hear a roaring/buzzing sound you immediately look up at the sky. Yup
3. You can tell a 767-200 from a -300 at a quick glance. Yup
4. Whenever you take a trip, usually you look forward to the flight more than the destination. Not really
5. On pictures from the said trip a good majority was on the plane you flew. Sometimes :P
6. You almost always take a window seat. Yup
7. Aircraft type and airline is a high priority when picking a flight. Not really, unless it's not Ryanair or Onur Air I'm fine with any airline
8. You can tell the difference between a 747-300 and a 747-400. Yeah, but can you tell the difference between a -200SUD and a -300? :sly:

1. You love jet noise. Depends. I like taxi and takeoff noise, but nothing else.
2. Whenever you hear a roaring/buzzing sound you immediately look up at the sky. Yup
3. You can tell a 767-200 from a -300 at a quick glance. Yup
4. Whenever you take a trip, usually you look forward to the flight more than the destination. Depends on the flight
5. On pictures from the said trip a good majority was on the plane you flew. Almost never

. You almost always take a window seat. Nope. Especially not on long hauls. I do on short hauls, because I almost never get up.
7. Aircraft type and airline is a high priority when picking a flight. YES! MASSIVELY HIGH
8. You can tell the difference between a 747-300 and a 747-400. Yeah. -400 has winglets, -300 does not.

A very disgusting food that only the cornish people like, and has to be fried to taste decent

#249333 if u could destroy 1 airline, what would it be?

Posted by Tesla on 29 October 2017 - 06:13 PM in Roleplay

I would kill Spirit or Ryanair obviously. But if in my countries (UK and India), I would kill GoAir.

#249332 Make your own country (and govern it!)

Posted by Tesla on 29 October 2017 - 06:11 PM in Roleplay

However the only consequence for you would be removal from this website. However consequences for the owner of AE is the entire website being taken down pending an investigation and I believe a fine to go with it.

In short if you don't leave AE will in effect be destroyed for the tens of thousands of users on the site.

I started before 13 (I lied about my age, and then edited my DOB and made it public when my reputation was stable. By the way guys, if you want to go to a game which is in active development right now, I would recommend playing Airline Enterprise. Just a suggestion. Warning, there is a lot to learn first

#249127 Is this way too far?

Not far enough, IMO. This is more like it:

Jesus christ! I'm glad I came on to the forum once to see this XD

I'm really impressed. Nicely done :)

Just warning you, if you put a second airline of yours on that route, you'll be against game rules, and you are already in a grey area. Keep an eye on things. But keep it up. Maybe try a realistic airline at some point

Flown for BA.

For, then probably nobody else on this forum has flown for British Airways. Many have flown with British Airways though

yes but this isn't the UK so **** off you pommy ponce

Damn!

It is the UK for self also. That Holden is literally a Corsa. They just slightly restyled it to look like it isn't. But they failed. Vauxhall are getting far better, but they still need to catch up. They certainly aren't cheap

#248551 When should I replace aircraft and how do I do it efficiently?

Posted by Tesla on 19 October 2017 - 12:27 AM in New Players and Questions

Actually, you lose a little bit of money by buying out the aircraft. But it is a lot less than you lose if you terminate the lease before it ends.

You get a discount of around 20% of the aircrafts original value after 3 years. You then must remove depreciation to get your lease buy-out price. When you sell, you sell without the lease discount, but with the (far smaller) market fee. Where you lose is the original lease payments. But overall, compared to letting a lease run dry, it is a gain.

#248550 Suggestions to Combat Arguments

Posted by Tesla on 19 October 2017 - 12:22 AM in Suggestions and Feature Requests

I'll be honest, there are moderators, and they very much do do their work. Delta rightly gave me a warning point over my spam posting, which I deserved. If I was mod, the 'leakpass' account that leaked the national password would have been banned for at least a month. If I was mod, many threads on here would be struck immediately. But then, I am very prone to letting power go to my head, so that's probably a good thing I am not a mod :P

Let's all get off our high back camels and get down on the sand and start talking normally. Nobody has the moral high ground here, and nobody needs it. Let's stop arguing on this petty topic. Marb needs to control his posts a bit, and in all honesty, what he posts. But he is how I was when I first got onto the forums (I was 13 at the time). He will get better. There is no point harassing him for his supposedly immature content. It's more immature to harass him for immature content than to post the immature content. So if you really want the high ground, don't harass him. Don't answer his spam or inappropriate posts. Marb will get the idea, and figure out what posts get the responses he wants to get. That's how I learnt. I just lost control yesterday as Marb and some others did. But everyone makes errors every now and then. Marb is in the early stages, and he is still learning. He wants to get better at the game at least as much as everybody else does.

Just give him space. Help him. You should be neither Pi or the square root of -2. You need to get real and be rational. I hope this is enough, I've had enough of some of the cancer posting I've seen of late.

#248548 Potential 757 replacement as a Widebody?

Posted by Tesla on 19 October 2017 - 12:09 AM in Real World Aviation

Yes we finally agree on that :/ But, I honestly really agree with this. If airbus wants, they can do whatever they want to it, and they get to because they have more than half of the votes. This is worrisome because many speculate that they bought it because Bombardier is competition, and what worries me is that they could ruin a pretty darn good plane since it's competition and that could be their goal to ruin it.

I have to agree. I hope they run it in their profit interests (ie market it properly) rather than run it into the ground. I mean, they can take a lot from it to the A320 NEO

#248547 Trojan pop up on login?

Posted by Tesla on 18 October 2017 - 11:53 PM in General AE Discussion

I use MS Edge (yh, that thing). So no AdBlock for me.

I haven't seen this pop up, and would advise that you set AdBlock on if you at all have access to it. And, however annoying it is, have a web phishing protector (is this already in your antivirus?). This pop-up was clearly phishing, being opportunistic and trying to take advantage of a supposed naive person logging in to a random forum.

#248470 Is this considered scam IFS? I'm a regional carrier.

Posted by Tesla on 18 October 2017 - 12:52 PM in General AE Discussion

If your airline operates on a meal pre-order scheme like Air Asia does, there is no issue with this. However, if it does not, it is unrealistic. This is a similar arrangement to how JetBlue operates, and some of their routes could be considered regional. I see no issues here

#248454 AE Development thread

Posted by Tesla on 18 October 2017 - 11:12 AM in General AE Discussion

Ok. I'm out then. My aviation experience is flying Cessna 172s & Caravans, Piper PA28s, Beechcraft Barons & King Airs, Dash 8s, A320s, Boeing 767s and Boeing 777s.

My piloting experience is limited to Piper Cherokee's and Cessna 152s (training purposes only, I'm too young to get a license currently). But I do have a fair amount of knowledge in aviation that could be of help. Message if you want me to join the team for anything in particular
