Okay so... like the regular way you play Airline Empires enter your game world go to your routes and open one..

 

I'm doing the same thing and I saw this... Seriously what the f@*k this is just way too far seats on market over 9000! while the demand is at the 600's! So I created this route flying 21x per week on my Boeing 737-800 configured in 186 economy seats and met up 558 passengers. I don't know how this works but shouldn't he be losing a lot of money in that?

Transferring pax... The reason why in AE so many "LCCs" survive... With my BQB Airlines, I can keep the price at original, flood market with double demand on max. config A321/737 and still make more money than someone whose lowered prices alongside the competition. 

 

Sure I lose actual passengers, but in some cases a transfer pax pays more than my competition's fare because its only half. 

 

Some routes: 

Original price: c.300

Competition (LCC/Spam line): 99

My price: 300 and if its all transfer pax, its 150. 

At 150 I'm still making more per pax than the competition that has tickets for 99. 

 

Simple AE economics at the end of the day.

It's a 747-400D on the route. The game usually won't let you set frequencies higher than 10,000 so that's the densest a route can be until the A380 comes along. Then I'll be able to have 1.2mil pax routes.

By the way - my route in the OP (I'm running Millennial) DOES NOT use transfer pax. It uses $1 fares.

He's not violating game rules

He's exploiting something of a loophole in the way demand and passenger loads are calculated by the system.

It's not illegal, just frowned upon.

I mean it clearly states that flooding a route with 2 or more airlines that you own (Yes 100K seats is flooding on every route, especially those with 0 demand) is a violation of game rules.. proof from the Emperor himself.
