If only the 747-8 was as popular as the 747-4! :P

#98712 Replacement for 757?

Posted by Spenser on 10 January 2012 - 10:51 PM in New Players and Questions

A good replacement for the 757 i the 757 :P Haha keep them flying as long as you can because thats a major problem actual airlines are dealing with today. I know Delta is phasing them out with 737-900's and MD-90's.

#93723 Best Airline Commercial Yet

3 Million Dollars was spent on the making of that BA commercial

#93640 Best Airline Commercial Yet

Posted by Spenser on 16 October 2011 - 11:10 PM in Real World Aviation

The BA ad is better than that one. I got bored watching that ad, the BA one actually kept my interest for a whole 1 minute, 30 seconds, which is something that is difficult for an ad to achieve. :P

Haha well I guess Im biased, I'm from Michigan :P ...But no doubt BA's commercial is by far better. I lucked out I happened to be on BBC haha, thats the only channel it airs on here

#89635 The God is Back... Really!

Posted by Spenser on 12 August 2011 - 02:59 AM in Designer Showcase

Righto ladies, if you want an airline branding consultation (or recieve a livery for those of you who don't know what that means) from myself, please wait; I'm on holiday! I've already recieved something in the region of 20 bloody PMs in the space of 48 hours asking for liveries. I'll alert you all when I'm back.

Stop sending me PMs! :P

In all fairness mine is a modification ;)

#89544 Livery modification

Posted by Spenser on 11 August 2011 - 03:14 AM in Logo / Livery Requests

Based off of---- http://beta.airline-...ae0&player=1251
--But with bright orange SunXpress diagonally upwards after AirCruise (and on engine except straight) If you could leave the overhead AirCruise design but insert SunXpress somewhere. Delete the aircruise.com and replace with acsunxpress.com. The radome has a smiley face with a red tongue sticking out. The tail/winglet will have a portion of a yellowish orange sun peeking around the top.

Thanks! :D

#89415 Aircraft Pictures

Posted by Spenser on 10 August 2011 - 01:47 AM in Suggestions and Feature Requests

I have mentioned this and the possibility of it happening is restricted on our staffs time. At the moment photo's have to be entered manually there isn't an actual uploader so to add each one by one would take forever. Hopefully in the near future there will be an update to do so easier and I'll be sure to let you know and you can send me photo's you would like to see on. :D

#87440 Thoughts of the 797

Posted by Spenser on 10 July 2011 - 12:24 PM in Real World Aviation

In the article I read Boeing said the 737 replacement would be out by 2020, so they have plenty of time haha.

#87418 Thoughts of the 797

Posted by Spenser on 10 July 2011 - 03:17 AM in Real World Aviation

Over the last few week I have heard a lot about Boeing replacing the 737. This morning I read an article about Air France waiting to see boeing's response to the A320NEO. I am convinced it will be a replacement to the 737/ I would like to see something with a 757 design but my best guess is they'll base it of the 787. My question is what happens after they use the "797" title, 7107? 800?

#87264 Anyone know how to get in to the cockpit?

Posted by Spenser on 06 July 2011 - 03:12 PM in Real World Aviation

SAS? Oh well what I posted was for the US. I am not sure about Scandinavia. Haha btw I just flew SAS between Munich and Amsterdam via CPH :D

#87249 Anyone know how to get in to the cockpit?

Posted by Spenser on 06 July 2011 - 02:26 AM in Real World Aviation

Hey Bendikoro,

A real answer to your question is no, an average passenger can't fly jumpseat on a commercial airline. However.........Many people who know the pilot do have access to the jumpseat as long as it is not occupied by another dead heading pilot.

So...unless you know your pilot or copilot enough to ask, no.

#85777 Vote for 767 or A330

Posted by Spenser on 16 June 2011 - 02:24 PM in Real World Aviation

Oh noes, the A330 iz winning :|

Computers are doing the job for them <_<
Not the pilots, if you happen to be an ace pilot of civil aviation, pass through
a Boeing aircraft and you'll know.

Your a real pilot if you prefer a Boeing over an Airbus Posted Image

#85732 Vote for 767 or A330

Posted by Spenser on 16 June 2011 - 02:26 AM in Real World Aviation

This is a rather stupid question considering we don't know the rest of your fleet and your planed routes for such aircraft type...

Speed Bird, this post regard the 330 and 767 in real life, not the game...as mentioned in the forum topic :P

As a pilot, I'd much rather go for the 767. The A330 is way to simplified. Everything is compacted into one screen. Plus I hate the sidesticks. The 767/757 flight deck's are a perfect combination of newer and older technology. As a passenger however the A330 is newer.

#85162 Paris AirShow?

Posted by Spenser on 09 June 2011 - 06:40 PM in Real World Aviation

Anyone going? Hear Boeing is sending in 2 747-8's and the 787. Anyone have VIP passes? If so look for me :P

#84049 Quick Florida Getaway

Posted by Spenser on 22 May 2011 - 02:08 AM in Trip Reports

OK, let me start by saying...these flights cost $1 per person, with $30 in taxes.

First Leg
CRW-FLL
Airline-Spirit Air
Aircraft-A319
Livery-Old "checkerboard" Livery
Tail #-N509NK
Duration-2 Hours
Comments-Smooth flight, however apon landing our gate was occupied which resulted in a long wait. The flight bound for San Juan was waiting on 20 passengers which left us on the tarmac for 45 minutes.

Second Leg
FLL-CRW
Airline-Spirit Air
Aircraft-A319
Livery-Old "checkerboard" Livery (Spirit Of Fort Lauderdale)
Tail #-N510NK
Duration-2 Hours
Comments-Smooth flight, landing in Charleston was very scenic. The short 6,000 foot runway was nowhere near an problem for the A319, in fact we used 3,000 feet without the use of Reversers and little breaking.

#83852 CRJ-200LR

Posted by Spenser on 18 May 2011 - 09:29 PM in (AE6) 2005-2030

The CRJ is a very profitable aircraft on routes to airports to small for mainline. The CRJ-200 is nearly the same on routes in AE as the ERJ-145 series.

#83851 B739 use

Posted by Spenser on 18 May 2011 - 09:27 PM in (AE4) 1990-2015

Dont forget that in real life the 900 has had very little success. Continental and Alaska are the only operators in North American with a limited fleet.
