I've noticed that a lot of aircraft have missing pictures. I heard through the grapevine that this will be fixed/added to the newer version, but if it takes up too much time to look up and save all of the pictures of aircraft, I'm volunteering to do the busywork for the admins. I can search the web for newer and nicer pics of our aircraft, and any that haven't been added yet. I just know that I love seeing what plane's I'm using (especially smaller ones that I don't know off the top of my head). Does the staff need anyone to search out good-quality pics of the planes that need pics? I'd be happy to help.

In addition to what everyone else is saying, I noticed that all the photos were taken from Wikipedia. I'm not sure what the copyright laws are, but I'll be more than happy to contribute a few of my own photos. Thanks.

Pretty much anything from Wikimedia Commons http://commons.wikimedia.org is free to use. It's safe to use those images on AE, where as using images from Airliners.net isn't. Commons releases them into the public domain. Airliners.net would require permission from the person who took it. However, Commons selection at times is not very good for variations.

User contributed photos, in my opinion, are ever better! Go poke the staff with a stick and ask where to send them.

Same here. I've been taking pictures for 15 years now, so I can provide them with lots of high quality images of all recent aircraft types. As these are then user contributed pics, the AE crew doesn't have to worry about copyrights. I'll just send 'm a bunch of pics and we'll see ...

I agree, user photos will be better because some photos on here are just the bottom or dont show much detail, or low quality.

i think this is a awesome idea. lots of people have way better photos than what is already there.

To the AE staff, I won't be fussing around copyright laws or anything, so long as you don't sell them. Let's just say the next sentence will be proof that I allow anybody, yes, anybody, to use these photos anywhere they like. Printing or publishing onto websites is also allowed. Thanks. I have mentioned this and the possibility of it happening is restricted on our staffs time. At the moment photo's have to be entered manually there isn't an actual uploader so to add each one by one would take forever. Hopefully in the near future there will be an update to do so easier and I'll be sure to let you know and you can send me photo's you would like to see on.

The problem with manual labor will no longer exist once 3.1 takes over. In the meantime, if you have pictures please send them to me and I will add them to the beta worlds (be sure to include the source of the picture). Thank you all for your help.

No need to do that, I already have that under control when my vacation is over.
