#210675 Your favorite underestimated planes

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 25 March 2016 - 06:46 PM in General AE Discussion

The Sukhoi Superjets.

Don't get me wrong, the Superjets are just absolute beautiful short range jetliners! Sure, they can't go over 2,000 miles, but having them based in a hub like Oklahoma City, they can do fairly well for covering the US from the center of the country. I personally prefer the Superjets over the Bombardier C-Series.

#211452 worst ae brands by country

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 06 April 2016 - 06:57 PM in Member Projects

Probably every single British Airways, JAL, Air China, QANTAS, Emirates, etc etc based in the US.

I totally agree with you. Airlines, who are the national airline of a specific country, based in a country outside of the country they're meant to be in, throws me into a complete rage. Such as Air France being based in Canada, or AeroMexico being based in Puerto Rico, which also grants them domestic flights within the US. IT DRIVES ME NUTS WHEN PEOPLE DO THESE KINDS OF THINGS!!!

#211101 Willing to join R1? Some nice locations.

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 01 April 2016 - 07:06 PM in General AE Discussion

IT'S A TWAP!!!!

Couldn't resist. XP

Anyways, I hope you're all having fun in R1!

#213334 Why are there only 24 days in a month?

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 05 May 2016 - 08:40 PM in New Players and Questions

I was wondering the same too. I can understand the days going up to 28, since there's usually 28 days in February, as long as it isn't a leap year. But having each month have 24 days? Why?

#209988 Where is the best place to start an airline (strategically)

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 17 March 2016 - 06:20 AM in New Players and Questions

Well, my suggestion is to do some real world research. Find a city that is under-appreciated in the airline industry in real life. Such examples could be Birmingham in the UK, Portland, Oregon in the US, maybe Melbourne, Australia. Those are just only a few suggestions that I have, but it's all up to you on where you could set up shop on starting an airline.

Every country has an under-appreciated airport/destination. I do not know all of them, but if you set up shop at the right place and fly the right planes, your airline is going to thrive live crazy!

#211161 When do new airplanes appear?

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 02 April 2016 - 03:11 PM in New Players and Questions

What does it makes sense to pre order aircraft? There is no difference between ordering an aircraft 1 year before its launch date or ordering it 1 day before, right?

There is actually a few pros to preordering aircraft. One is that if you're quick enough, your airline could become the launch customer of that aircraft in that world, like how my airline, Paw Airways International, is the launch customer of the Bristol Britannia. Another good thing about preordering an aircraft is that over time, you can invest more and more into either leasing or buying them before the first delivery. This way then overtime as your airline continues to make more money, you can invest into a greater amount of aircraft, and you don't have to wait so long after you ordered your aircraft. Once production begins, they'll start rolling in one after the other every two or three weeks, or whatever the delivery rate is.

That actually would be pretty helpful too! I'm practically ready to go in R0 for when the 707-120 becomes available. Even though it's currently 1955 in R0, and the 707-120 doesn't come out for another 3 years, I'm all set to go on preordering that jet to replace my smaller and slower Starliners flying to Europe and South America.

#217059 What language's do you speak?

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 17 June 2016 - 07:52 PM in Off Topic

For me, it's primarily English, and only a little bit of German. I pretty much was lazy in high school and ended up only taking one year of German. But hey, at least I had fun, and my German teacher liked me! If it wasn't for me being placed in her class, I wouldn't have my Edelweiss Air poster she gave me when she went to their inaugural flight event to Tampa, Florida back in May of 2012. I don't know, I might jump back into learning German since I do want to visit Germany one day in real life.

#210246 What aircraft to buy?

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 20 March 2016 - 05:26 PM in New Players and Questions

Well, if you're looking for another good large aircraft for your fleet, I suggest the L-1011 Tristars from Lockheed. Even though some DC-10 models have an advantage in range, and yet most L-1011 models fly over 5,000 miles, the L-1011 is a better aircraft to fly, since its monthly lease is cheaper, and the fuel flow is also lower than the DC-10, making it a cheaper aircraft to operate. I've flone the Tristar before on AE, and I was thrilled with how good of an aircraft it is! Flew both the L-1011-250 and -500, and I was not disappointed in what the aircraft were capable of!

#210200 Warning!

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 20 March 2016 - 07:28 AM in Airline Takeover / Shared Control Requests

F***k!! This player (KW1) had simply and on purpose sabotage heavily my airlines!! That's not just cheating.... but very disrespectful!!

I'm suspecting that he is one of my competitors...
I lose something like 40% or more of the airlines capacity... This is just hateful!!!!

I will not work like a crazy guy to recover... if someone wants he's welcome...
I hate cheaters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why is there cheater on every game... is it not possible just to compete honestly?? Why should someone destroy hours of "work"???? Arggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh................

Woah woah woah, slow down, man. Just start from the beginning on what he was doing? The fight over passenger capacity over certain routes is something that a large majority of players do. As for the disrespectful and sabotage part, what did he do in general?

Now, if this is the usual what I call, 'extreme competition,' then sorry man, that's just how the game goes, and that's how some other players play the game. Trust me, I've been stabbed in the back quite a few times by a certain airborne slab of beef... *cough cough* Flying Cow *cough cough* Screw them *cough*

#210395 USA is a black hole in R1

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 22 March 2016 - 05:10 PM in General AE Discussion

Instead of giving a speech about what you "believe" is the "right" or "fair" thing according to you:

CHECK THIS REAL WORLD AIRLINE https://www.ryanair.com/gb/en/

... you should do better your homework to avoid such weak argumentation  :dance3:  :dance2:

You say that you're using RyanAir tactics, right? Well, let me ask you this. Why do you think RyanAir is the #1 most hated airline in Europe? :eyebrow:

I think I have proven my point. B)

Low budget airlines do work to a certain point, such as Southwest for example. Southwest is pretty much on neutral grounds, since they have an equal amount of lovers and haters. I hate Southwest myself, but yet I can understand their point of view on them being an all 737 operating airline, so they can have commonality in their fleet. Yet, Southwest still has a few pluses for their passengers and crew. I've never flone on Southwest before, so I have no idea what their perks are for their passengers.

RyanAir for example, which is what I call an extreme budget airline, is basically stripping everything away, and whatever you want, you have to pay a huge amount of money for. That's extremely flawed. Not only that the passengers hate RyanAir, but so do other airlines. I know that RyanAir almost bought EasyJet, and yet the other UK airlines bailed them out and kept EasyJet going.

So, in the public's point of view, RyanAir, AKA The Flying Cow on Airline Empires, will be hated for, for starving out other airlines, and taking away the fun that is Airline Empires. :innocent:

#210391 USA is a black hole in R1

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 22 March 2016 - 04:58 PM in General AE Discussion

You say this is a business simulator, yet, in actual terms, your airline is an insult to the word "business simulator". Also, the problem with charging only $30 on a flight has its downsides. Yes, you will get more pax on your planes, but charging $30 for a 1000 mile flight also tells the pax that your airline must be at such a low quality that you cannot sustain reasonable and fair prices of that of other, higher quality airlines. And I can see why. Your seat configurations are worthy of a school bus, you must not care about if your planes are maintained because looking at your airline, your mechanics barely have time to maintain them. Other faults: you still have dreary, slower then molasses props in the jet age, you have aircraft that shouldn't be in your fleet, you probably have horrid In Flight Service. And explain to me why you have so many aircraft.

This is what a "business simulator" airline should look like: http://ae31.airline-...ae3r0&player=87

My seat configurations are reasonable and don't sardine can my passengers, I make sure I properly maintain my aircraft, I have aircraft that are realistic to use, I have great service on my flights and don't overflow markets unreasonably, and I have a reasonable amount of aircraft for the era and time frame.

Then you accuse other players of trolling and overflowing markets, etc.....well sweety, it takes one to know one.

Also Alice in the Wonderland doesn't exist...

YES!!! THANK YOU, MR. BEAR!!!

#210330 USA is a black hole in R1

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 21 March 2016 - 11:56 PM in General AE Discussion

Thanks to some Airlines, like The Flying Cow, USA has turned from the most profitable airline starting country, to the least. i can tell this because all airlines in america are losing money

!!! THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT !!!

If you are looking to start in R1, go for Europe or Asia.

Luckily mi in India XD

I had my fair shares of dealing with Flying Cow. Nothing but cancer, I call them. I was doing so well with Paw Airways in the USA, until they started moving in. I had no way of recovering to compete against them, and fell through.

The tactics that Flying Cow is doing, IS PURE INSANITY!!! Airlines like Flying Cow, take the fun away from Airline Empires. Sure, some competition is fine, but being dragged into a war to keep your airline up in the air, is not fun at all!

#210390 USA is a black hole in R1

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 22 March 2016 - 04:56 PM in General AE Discussion

Where you Penguin Air? or was there an actual Paw Airways, because i never saw a Paw Airways in R1

No. I run only one airline, and that's Paw Airways. Most of the time I do later on rename it as Paw Airways International. I already shut down operation in R1, thanks to Flying Cow using the same tactics as one airline that I hate the most IRL, and want to strangle their CEO! ((Not you Flying Cow, I'm talking about Michael O'Leary & RyanAir. The guy's literally mental.))

#220221 [DECLINED] Eastwind CEO - SkyWorld Application

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 23 July 2016 - 06:15 AM in ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴠᴇ

Sorry for the late answer, but I hate to say this, Eastwind, but we're declining your application.

Reason being is that, yes, you can install an IFE on board the 727-200 and DC-9-30. But more importantly was that you've missed one of our top four most important guidelines, which is having at least one stable hub for your airline. At the time when all of us admins at SkyWorld checked your world for Yosemite, there was no hub at all. Another thing to address is your poor reputation. Try to raise it up the next time when you try to apply with us, as a 60% reputation isn't going to fly at SkyWorld.

I'm sorry for the bad news, Eastwind CEO, on declining your application. However, come back to us next month and you'll be able to submit a new application once you get a better reputation and a stable hub established.

I wish you the best of luck though with Yosemite!

#223859 [CANCELLED] PolarisWings - SkyWorld Application

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 20 September 2016 - 04:03 PM in ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴠᴇ

Hello PolarisWings!

Thank you for submitting your application to the SkyWorld Alliance. Right now it's being processed by our team of admins, and once it gets enough approvals, we will accept you into the SkyWorld Alliance as an honorary regular member!

I hate to say this, but I'm not running SkyWorld in R4. I don't even know if PilotTom is back in that world or Hcarde1. However, we will be able to accept you as a member no matter which world you are part of the alliance in! :)

We will get back to you with the good news in about a week or less if you are in or not, so please be patient!

Thank you, & stay awesome!

~Nicholai G.

#220831 [ACCEPTED] Tesla App to SkyWorld

#220377 [ACCEPTED] Tesla App to SkyWorld

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 24 July 2016 - 09:06 PM in ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴠᴇ

Got some good news for you!

After some negotiations with the admin team at SkyWorld, we have came to an agreement to revoke the one hub guideline for your airline. Welcome to SkyWorld, Tesla!

#220353 [ACCEPTED] Tesla App to SkyWorld

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 24 July 2016 - 05:18 PM in ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴠᴇ

To answer your question, Tesla, unfortunately so.

You see, we have some guidelines that we check new applicants have for the airline they're trying to enter into our alliance, and I'm sorry, but you can't join. HOWEVER, we're still in the reviewing process with the rest of the admin team at SkyWorld. But since you don't have a hub established yet, it's highly unlikely you'll be able to get a spot at SkyWorld. Plus with the mediocre reputation you have currently, it isn't going to fly.

I give you points though for the high employee morale, as nobody has shown us that yet! So well done! :D

I think you do got something great going on with your airline, and I do wish you the best of luck with South Indian Airlines.

Like I said, you may or may not have a chance at SkyWorld, as the rest of the admin team is still reviewing your application.

-Username: NicholaiGaul

-Airline(s) you operate:( Do this for all your airlines that want to join)

Name: Paw Airways International
HQ: Pittsburgh International - PIT, USA
Usual world: Real Worlds or Special Worlds

-Current Airline(s) in operation:

Name: Paw Airways International
Current world: R5
HQ: Pittsburgh International - PIT, USA
Hubs: Pittsburgh International - PIT, USA is the only hub so far. Will be expanding to other airports soon.
Aircraft: A321-100, A340-200, and 757-200. List of aircraft will change overtime for expansion and lowering number of slots used by the airline.
Reputation: As of October 12th, 1994 in R5, the airline's current reputation is sitting at 80.
IFE: The latest In-Flight Entertainment rating that's currently in use for the airline is rated at two-stars. Better IFE will come later on, as I'm still experimenting with IFE.
IFS: In-Flight Service is at a fairly good rating for the three classes. Two stars for First and Economy, and three stars for Business Class. This should change as I'm also experimenting with IFS as well.
About your airline: Paw Airways International, or just Paw Airways for short, is an airline based in Pittsburgh, PA, and the original goal of the airline is to connect one of the most under-appreciated world-class cities in the airline industry with the world. The airline's name, Paw, is actually an acronym, standing for Pittsburgh Around the World, or can be used as People Around the World, as the overall goal is not only connecting the city of Pittsburgh with the world, but other cities too, such as Indianapolis, St. Louis, Reno, and the list goes on. Not only I have the airline set up hubs in unlikely cities that most other airlines won't associate with that turn out successful in the end, but I also fly unlikely planes that not that many people choose to fly, such as Lockheed's L-1011 Tristar or Airbus's A340 Family for example. However, back in the first world I played in, S3-A back in late 2015, I ended up coming out on top with a few airlines with the #1 best reputation. It wasn't easy though, but I managed to pull it off.

-Are you currently in an alliance?: In World R0 and R5, yes. R0, I'm not part of SkyWorld, and I never seen the alliance in that world as of yet. In S3-B, I am currently not in an alliance in that world.

-Why do you want to join SkyWorld: I feel a lot more welcomed in the SkyWorld Alliance. Probably because the leader of the alliance, PilotTom, has personally messaged me, along with creating a gift for me, being the Paw Airways livery. If that doesn't speak kindness, then I don't know what will. SkyWorld feels a lot more friendlier, compared to other alliances in the community that I have joined in the past, like Star Alliance and OneWorld, where I felt like I didn't fit in, and stood out like that socially awkward kid that everybody wants to ignore in school. I'm rather happy that I'm applying to SkyWorld, as I feel welcomed into this alliance!

-How many days a week do you play: All seven days of the week! However, that may change since every few months I do go offline for an extended amount of days for vacation or to attend particular conventions. But for most of the year, I do have Airline Empires pulled up on my desktop, as I love to stay on the ball to make my airline a great airline.

-Any Questions?

None! That's it for me! :D

#220358 [ACCEPTED] Man Of Aviation - SkyWorld Application

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 24 July 2016 - 06:14 PM in ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴠᴇ

Hello Man Of Aviation!

Right now we have another application being processed right now by the admins at SkyWorld, but you're next on the list!

In the mean time, I'll be more than happy to answer your questions!

To me from what I experience, I say that it would be best to save a three-class configuration, basically adding first class to an aircraft's seating configuration, I say the best time to add first class is when you start receiving aircraft built to carry more than 200 passengers in its standard configuration. Such good examples would be the Airbus A321, or the Boeing 757-300, To me, I say that all of the British Aviation RJs are too small for first class. The RJ100, along with all of the other British Aviation RJs, are built for primarily regional or short-range routes, where you'll probably not see so many First Class demand. From speaking from experience, having business class seats on regional aircraft, I highly approve, as a lot of other airlines are trying to accommodate for business class passengers on their regional aircraft.

And as for your question about IFE, I say that the Avro RJ100 is not too small for IFE. However, for the Saab 340A, I think that aircraft is too small. For me, the smallest aircraft I fly in my fleet is the ATR 72, which I fly all of the different series, and I even also use my IFE on the ATR 72 as well, since the aircraft carries more than 50 passengers, and has a 500+ mile range. Plus too when you look at real life aviation, there are some ATR 72 aircraft already out there flying with IFE installed on them too. I don't know which airlines though, but I can reassure you that it's already being done. Basically, if I was in your shoes Man Of Aviation, I would install IFE only onto aircraft that has a maximum operating range of over 500 miles.

Well I hope my answers are able to help you out in some way! Feel free to reply back to me or privately message me if you have any more questions to ask, and we'll be getting around to reviewing over your application with the rest of the SkyWorld admin team shortly! :)

No need to be butthurt and attempt to soil my application, my friend. This is Airline business, not tumblr mate.

I can totally agree with you there, Donald!

Anyways, I got some news from the admin chat of SkyWorld, and all three of us approve of your application! Welcome to SkyWorld, Donald John Trump!  :cheers2:

#219684 [ACCEPTED] Donald John Trump - SkyWorld Application

Posted by NicholaiGaul on 16 July 2016 - 11:59 AM in ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴠᴇ

Hello Donald John Trump!

We at SkyWorld would like to apologies for the long processing of your application. However, the admins of the SkyWorld Alliance is already reviewing over your application. I just got done giving my input in a private chat with the other two admins, and right now, you got the green-light from me!

However, I'm waiting to hear back from Hcarde1 and PilotTom on what they think of your airline & application to SkyWorld. Get one more yes from either of the two, then you'll be an official member of the SkyWorld Alliance!

Again, we are sorry for the long processing, as a lot of the admins at SkyWorld have been busy lately with our personal lives outside of AE.  :)
