2/3-Years ago, alliances and members were very vocal, in game and in the forum, now it is a somber group that one day may become vocal again.
I say, join an alliance, swap game plans and ideas as one day you may need assistance. When developers advance this alliance format, having a strong membership early, may benefit all their alliance members.

i never recieved extra when switching between the same type of plane...
I find the wording (Never) a false statement, when the plane swap was in place, even a B1900 if you swap into another B1900 you can make at times up-to 30% or more improvement.
Other higher Jets on one-way legs it was impossible to make good unless you used the swap, so the vast majority used and abused it.
It is gone now, many players have been asking Miller to remove it, why have an un-even playing field !!
This round despite the LF adjustments, will be a more of a game of (Good) management, you will see many in the top 20 change positions and the growth of all good managers will be without gaining un-fair advantage of plane swap.

I managed fine with one aircraft and the first month you don't lose any gates anyway, you get a warning.

Developers will not know the true reasons why over the past years the level of players (Many Voiced to return if the LF is Fixed) have vacated the AE community all due to this revamped and unpredictable LF script.
AE once had over 2,000 players around, now it’s like 200, (Thou I think Duplicate airlines mark those 200 figures upwards) many more will depart if significant game play issues are not addressed.
While players would like to see these seating classes come into the game, we should all consider the past players concerns (and current) and try to place efforts into writing a load factor script that will keep this game alive.

the LF is BAD, im at a -21k when before i had been at +7000, and thats just after one airline has come on a route of mine... my highest load factor is 44%
my one route's ticket is only $36 between 2 major cities... something just isnt right there...
If you set your routes, dont bother about the LF said factor and leave it for a few hours and log back in and re-adjust the routes you will find that those negitives will vanish.
I did this and as more players join, the better the LF becomes.

The second post, LF factors, if you look at the latest adjustments, plus notice again that the plane swap has vanashed again, this will make the game more to a lot of players liking. We should see in this next round what the game gives this time, one feels that its going to be more an even playing field that in the past.
The developers have their finger on the pulse and are in my view, driving AE in the right foward direction...

Like the idea of aircraft Crashing, but as the system has to recaculate routes due to a crashed aircraft, this will slow up the game too much, one seems to think this is the problem with server being slow.

Tobias did adjust returns within sim2, however the script is very unpredictable thus I think he didnt adjust any more, as Courtney made this script and like any alterations if your not sure of the values it is impossible to correct to solve issues.
We should look again at the issues holding or bugging sim2, as you all report bugs, both developers attend to them ASAP, I for one thank them for this. The downside is the LF script, if Tobias does have time, then I for one do ask if he is able to re-vamp it, using his own method.

Only way to revert it is to wait till the other player who listed at the same time as you sees your aircraft in their for sale list, they will remove it, and it will be returned.
But you have to wait.

The cause was found to be the alliance map display, so I have disabled it until I figure out why it doesn't work on the sim2 server.

I think several things should be sorted and decided before we reset and start the next round. These are just my opinions for each category, so feel free to express your views on the topics.
1) Starting Cash: should be higher than 5m, especially since profit is much slower now. Maybe 20m or even 50m?
Agree - $50M would be better for many, plus we should keep your Used market and added extra 10 mixed aircraft every changeover.
2) Server Speed: double speed would help to preserve the pace of gameplay
Yes, speed should be double.
3) LF Script: is the current growth/profit rate reasonable? Does it need further adjustment before we reset?
No - its working fine, better the devil we know than adjusting and find a devil we cant cope with.
4) Gate Restriction: personally I feel 5 leased gates per airport is too restrictive, especially since no one can afford a terminal for a long time. Maybe raise to 10 or 15 instead?
Tobias and I talked about this, 5 was just a test, now playing, this should be doubled.
5) Hub Restriction: currently, foreign hubs cannot be built for the first two years after an airline's founding. I think it's okay, or maybe we can reduce it to 1 year or 18 months?
Keep it as it is.
6) Alliances: Unfortunately, the integration of alliances into the loadfactor system probably won't make it into this reset, so alliances will not affect partner hubs or connecting loadfactors. Plus we want to give the new LF script a try for a round before tinkering with it even more.
I like the idea and development should go ohead on this
* Note: major changes to core gameplay (like alliance pax-sharing) will not be made during a round, so big new things will have to wait until the next round to be added. Meanwhile, new stuff (like brokering, changes to the lf script) will be thoroughly tested on a player-participating test server before being introduced to sim2. Small changes to the user interface may be added to sim2 anytime during a round after they are tested.
