I'd shut it down. Jk.
I'd service 55% of my routes in NA, 35% in EU, and 10% in AU.
My fleet would be B737-800's, B737-900's, and B767-700's for long-haul routes.
For medium-haul I'd have B737-800's, A321's, and MD-87's.
For short haul I'd have CRJ-200's, CRJ-700's, and RJ-85's.

you wouldnt ever last as a low fare carrier then... you cant have multiple types of aircraft to do that. thats why southwest is doing so well, they only opperate one type of family, and all the pilots can fly any of them... and what is the 767-700? you know the 737-800/-900 is a short to medium haul aircraft right? they both only fly just over 3000nms... and you wouldnt be allowed to fly in america, the airline can only be owned by 30% by an non-american person/group... so you could only fly to, but not in the USA... not sure about canada and mexico, but im sure they are the same layouts, the percentage might be a little different...

i would use the 737-700ER's for long/med. international haul flights, the 737-700ER/800/900ER for domestic routes. yes the 737-700ER is a long haul aircarft it has a range of over 5000nms...

to be honest if i was Ryanair i would do exactly what MOL is doing operations wise, i would just change my public image to avoid all the controversy in the media, that guy spouts some ****e sometimes,

i would have a crack at Trans Atlantic from secondary airports using a fleet of 787/A350 in a one cl*** layout, advertising on the back of seat backs and overhead bins to provide extra revenue, no IFE and optional food. feeder traffic would come from the domestic ops.

I would put some foam stuffing in the seats. Seriously, ever had a 3+ hours flight with them? You can't sit for half a day, afterwards!

Ah, and I would get rid of the music for the "on time landing".

Finally, I would make sure that the cabin crew ladies wore the right uniform size - ever noticed they always seem way too big or a bit too tight?

Eh, airline is doing fine. I would keep as-is, but I wouldn't let them become more service-ridden then they are now! :P

Ehm, don't get me wrong - if I owned an airline, it's likely that worker unions, equal-opportunities parties and mommies associations would sue me over the selection criteria for the cabin crew personnel; not to mention the uniforms that would look like something out of a Barbarella movie :)

However, Ryanair seems to only hire two type of ladies as "trolley dollies": either tall, willowy and generally resembling a lightpost/praying mantis, or quite...ehm...let's say "quite rounded". And, they make all of them wear the same size of uniforms :D

If I owned Ryanair, I'd improve its public image, less of the stupid publicity stunts and make sure people know we're in the people business just flying aircraft as a coincidence. Care about my employees, I'd probably buy some 73G and 739 to supplement my 738's and invest in 788s and 789s to go long haul, similar to what Air Asia has done. There's a lot of markets untapped from Europe still, I wouldn't remove MOL because he's good at what he does, he's a money man so he runs the business how he should be run, like a business. My main changes would be cosmetic, the core product is spot on for FR.

Maybe push MOL to invest in a business class, flights to the major airprots and push EI into oblivion and offer two scales of FR, the websaver and the frilly class.

I liked TW and it's gone. NW, and it's gone. CO, and it's gone. Pray I don't like you.

If I owned ryanair I will change the name to Airandre and configure it with First, Business, and Economy classes.
Of course, my aircraft will be 738s :)
And with the addition of 788s and 748s.

Fit them with IFE and quality class service.

If I owned Ryanair I would either rename it AirIreland and have a fleet of A320s and A330s or make it cease operations.

AirIreland? Ye that would work well on its Milan-Stockholm routes (plus the hundreds of other routes that don't originate or end in Ireland).

I will cut more costs.

Eg;
- flight attendants will manage the check in services, boarding, cleaning, refuelling and baggage handling of the aircract to reduce personell costs.
-have a quicker turn time of 18 minutes.
-luggage weighing more than 9kg will be charged with fuel fee( lighter plane, less fuel)
-create a new economy class: Coach Class: - plastic chairs that folds up in order for more capacity.
- insert 5 cents for everytime you open or close yout belt. (that way people will likely to keep them buckled for safety)
-insert 10 cents when the emergency oxygen deploys in order to get them to work.

Jokes aside......

Hmm id change the name to something that actually represents the airline.
Get some A330's and do a long haul LCC thing like Air Asia X

I would hire more staff and increase the turn times of the aircraft by a few minutes :P After watching a Dispatches program about Ryanair, their crew is literally exhausted, the pilots apparently work 3 hours underneath the legal maximum so that they could be called out in case of overtime. The turntime needs to be increased by a few minutes because, as the program showed, they apparently get 25 minutes maximum, and seemingly that is rare for the airline; usually having around 10-15 minutes. They also don't clean the plane until night-time when it's done a days flying

I must admit that Ryanair definitely is a very good airline and business because it does its job efficiently and very quickly. However it's the little things that the passengers notice which gives a bad image, i.e Bad aircraft cleanliness at the end of the day. But overall I suppose it's good, so they're the only things I would change immediately. :P

I don't see why a dominant airline like Ryanair should shut down, yes it has its flaws, like every airline has. :P But it is a very popular airline and if that was closed down, I think it would cause a bit of chaos with the market that the other airlines would need to fill :P It would also ruin the amount of variety with the airline industry and would ruin other airlines more since they'd have to go with a secondary airline which would lead to a process of airlines then shutting down in sort of a trend :P Ryanair is a massive European airline, I would definitely not shut it down since it would have too big a shock on the Euro Aviation industry and even other airlines :S
