Why does Miami downtown only service helicopters. There is a 600+ passenger demand from Chicago. And how can a helicopter taxi to a gate? It only has 50 of them.

I know. I wish I remember the names but I thought it was kinda funny. Its rare to see any airlines started there. Let alone 2.

My biggest suggestion is, be careful what country you start in. I am currently playing as Air Europa in Spain and and there are 6 other airlines based in the country so I have a bit of competition. I'm finding out it's hard to grow. The world I'm playing in has 60+ airline in the USA alone so I wouldn't start an airline there unless it was at the start. After year 1 don't bother. Be careful if you start anywhere in Europe as there is often A LOT of competition. Try starting in Central America, like in Panama City because most airlines in the USA overlook Central America. Mexico normally has a few airlines, though the world I'm in now only has 1 airline in Mexico so you could get lucky. Last tip, don't start on an small island like Iceland as it is very hard to be profitable.

First, don't start off in Australia. US or China is a decent place to start.

Second, don't try to do long haul. Build from a small regional network. Start with airports within 500 miles then slowly grow from there.

Third, max out your hours until you learn how to play. Use the planes as much as possible.

Once you do this a few times you'll break the general learning curve of the game and start trying to make it harder on yourself and playing slightly more 'realistic'.

I disagree with the start in the USA advice. You are going to have a Minimum of 30+ other airlines competing over popular routes. The USA is more for experienced players.

My advice is find a country that doesn't have a lot of competition and start there. Here is some countrys I suggest but please note it depends a lot on the world you start in and when. I'm not listing them in any order.

1. Mexico
2. Spain
3. Turkey
4. Japan
5. Canada
6. Greece

I have turned the state of Wisconsin in to a country and declare thermonuclear war on the US, China, Russia, and NK.

I don't know much about Chile. The USA and UK it would be nearly impossible as the USA normally has 50+ airlines. I am currently running Copa Airlines in Panama City witch is nice because there is no competition. It all depends on when and where you start.

Because it's easier for me to let people know in a group then it would be to let people know on this forum. And I figured most people have steam by now. It's also easier for people to request Airlines from me.

My advice is be careful what country you start in. Some are easier then others. Try and stay away from the USA.

Try and stay away from routes with competition while your starting out. Once your established, you can start to compete for routes.

The first year or so are the hardest. once you start making a DOP of around 2 or 3 million, it should get easier.

Lastly, set smaller goals. Instead of thinking you're going to get in the top 3 airlines, try to be the 1st airline in your country. Or try to be the top 100. I know this sounds easy but it takes a while to get the hang of the game. It took me about 5 different trys to finally get my airline to stay afloat.
