#142160 Who will go bust next?

Posted by Lax7 on 23 April 2013 - 01:26 AM in AE Europe

What? XD No chance :P

I love SAS but sorry to say if their 4Excellence Plan do not work, then bye bye SAS.

Its mainly two things with that company, it has the highest labour cost in any airline company in Europe, however really low productivity and utilisation.

Its plan is to save EUR360 million by 2015, however is already swamped with EUR936million in debt this January (2013).

Although showing positive so far, lets just cross our fingers...

#122561 if you owned ryanair?

Posted by Lax7 on 10 August 2012 - 01:10 AM in What I Would Do Is...

I will cut more costs.

Eg;
- flight attendants will manage the check in services, boarding, cleaning, refuelling and baggage handling of the aircract to reduce personell costs.
-have a quicker turn time of 18 minutes.
-luggage weighing more than 9kg will be charged with fuel fee( lighter plane, less fuel)
-create a new economy class: Coach Class: - plastic chairs that folds up in order for more capacity.
- insert 5 cents for everytime you open or close yout belt. (that way people will likely to keep them buckled for safety)
-insert 10 cents when the emergency oxygen deploys in order to get them to work.

Jokes aside......

Hmm id change the name to something that actually represents the airline.
Get some A330's and do a long haul LCC thing like Air Asia X

#130811 Livery Making Tutorial

Posted by Lax7 on 24 November 2012 - 05:12 PM in Logo / Livery Requests

Hi folks!

Can somebody help me in how I can make patterns on my airlines fuselage? For example, some lines or drawings on the side of the fuselage? Do I use the shape tools to draw them or the path tool?

Thanks!

#127704 Unrealistic Expansion?

Posted by Lax7 on 09 October 2012 - 11:19 PM in General AE Discussion

After reading this, I wonder how is it possible to get $100 mill or more in daily profit? For example, I am based in Copenhagen for R5 and pretty much covered quite a lot of 'profitable' airports and DOP is at a mere 27 million...Thats is WITH Scam IFS, because if i do the initial plan of full-service, then it bankrupts my airline becaue of overheads...I mean there are still ofcourse lots of routes I havent discovered, however mainly are small airports. I guess it depends on where you are based?

#127729 Unrealistic Expansion?

Posted by Lax7 on 10 October 2012 - 12:07 PM in General AE Discussion

Extremely easy. I hit $1 billion DOP in the previous R2 round. If I put in more time/effort, $2 billion would've been possible.

It's past the year 2000. You can expand anywhere in the EU. Your DOP is so small because you are restricting yourself to just one hub. It is probably impossible to generate $100M DOP from one hub, even when based in ATL. Extremely large airlines base themselves in countries with a lot of large airports (or in the EU).

Is there something wrong with small airports? If you properly configure your aircraft, they will make you so much more money than, for example, CPH-LHR.

I mustve been really stupid to not stumble across this..After your reply, I just found out that I can operate outside my hub and fly ARN-CDG for example....Now all this makes sense :P

Thanks though!

Is it also like this in real life bytheway? I had no idea about this freedom of the air kind of thing. I understand that EasyJet for example, does that, I see hubs in Amsterdam, Milan and etc.

#135283 MidwestFrontier Airlines Application

Posted by Lax7 on 04 January 2013 - 09:56 AM in Applying

Your point about upgrading you airline doesn't mean anything, Royen hasn't even given any information on whether he needs to upgrade or not.

Upgrade? Im just saying these applications take time with or without the airline having to anything inorder to meet the requirements. Is it difficult to grasp that?

#135284 MidwestFrontier Airlines Application

Posted by Lax7 on 04 January 2013 - 10:16 AM in Applying

Hello MF,

Thanks for expressing your interest in V Alliance by submitting an application. Over the next few days, your application will be under review following the new V Alliance Application Process. A new private message has been started, so please view this to kickstart the member, airline and alliance relationship. The private message will house all discussion about the application and where voting will commence. You as the applying member have access to this and can comment and follow all discussion for a fair application process.

Thanks once again!

V Alliance Head Staff,
Royen & nxwm2001.

And plus, Royen did say 'Over the next few days',so any applying airline or any other members posting on the application should be aware of that!

#135301 MidwestFrontier Airlines Application

Posted by Lax7 on 04 January 2013 - 04:07 PM in Applying

Well they haven't said anything unless there is some activity in the PM's.

The example you used (it took you a week to meet the requirements of V) doesn't mean anything. It doesn't matter what alliance it is to change how long it takes to determine whether the airline meets the alliances requirements.

Yeah, a few days, not almost a whole week.

Alright, if you are so hard headed with this, I will just keep quiet and let it be.

#135277 MidwestFrontier Airlines Application

Posted by Lax7 on 04 January 2013 - 08:41 AM in Applying

:giggle: Oh you're so funny Nexus. :P

I may not be patient, but SkyGroup has had a flood of applications and we've processed all of them in 3 hours or less per app.

Im fairly new, however you could not compare the application process for V and SkyGroup.
It took me days and almost more than a week to be able to join and transform my airline up to its standards.
As I mentioned in PM, your setup is very well already and as we are all aware, its still the holidays, thus, everything will take longer than it usually is..Im no admin, but lets just stop these arguments or perhaps take it somewhere else...Its an application thread and although its open for discussion, V pretty much just started opening up, so by all means cut it some slack please?

#129274 alphawing - Aviation Branding Specialist by Duncan - Now with 20% more discla...

Posted by Lax7 on 30 October 2012 - 01:27 PM in Designer Showcase

I would love to make simple liveries (As you can see I am capable of doing so too), but people tends to ask for more and more (and more) stuffs on their planes :/ Customer is always right, right?

Wow Dunc, you truly are talented! It says you offer packages? Do you sell them or?
I am currently trying to do something similar myself for my airline. For example, Ive made my Frequent Flyer Credit Card, Livery, and currently on the progress of making a small company portfolio containing information of fleet, classes, frequent flyer cards, boarding cards, etc and you can imagine yourself how much media is needed.

Ive managed to do most by myself excepting liveries (all done by a member of the forums) and some other complicated media. I would love to get your opinion on some of the things Ive done!

Currently I am waiting for a certain world to start and recently just joined an alliance, so once this world has start, I would like to go large, eg: huge publications and advertisements and such, to create a solid brand image :)

Would you be interested in helping me out? :)

No but it does say that singapore moved to the EU. The Eu flag should maybe be by the name considering the name of Eurasia. Having the flag next to the reg implies something else than as a motif.

Having 2 flags can always mean that the airline be based in both..Like in boats as example, if a boat is (or based) in a certain country (lets say Singapore,) however owned, managed, or from an EU country( lets say Stockholm), then it can have both flags on the vessel. Maybe not the same on airlines, but I think its fairly the same concept....

Very nice, but may I just ask why has a 9V- aircraft got an EU flag.

Eurasia Airways is operated by me, and the concept is specifically made for the No Political Restriction World, in which the airline will be based both in Europe and Asia :) Hence Eurasia. If its operated in a normal world, it will of course be changed :D

And again ioh969, great job! It fits the world since currently its in 1997...

#127137 Aircraft Leasing Between Airlines & Used Market Overhaul

Posted by Lax7 on 02 October 2012 - 12:44 AM in Suggestions and Feature Requests

I guess what you could sort of do is create a few virtual "lease companies" where different companies have different aircrafts and deals for an airline depending on their order. Its a bit different from what everyone has suggested, but i mean spicing it up step by step will sure make it fun. Each lease companies can be allocated a certain amount of aircrafts and have different lease options depending on the buyer. I think price wise and such is fine at the moment, id rather think about infrastructure and additional details and features that can be added instead of pricing. Same goes for used aircrafts, airlines and companies or aircraft brokers could be present and have deals

#130869 Scandinavian Airways and Eurasia Airways Beginners Livery

I agree, however I do think that the concept is a little bare, I would suggest adding a stripe of colouring the belly.

I was thinking of colouring the engines at least however still learning how to do that...Thanks for the input!
