This may sound a bit off topic, but I recently changed my airline name due to the reset, but when I try to upload a new logo it just says 'upload failed'. Its the correct size and everything. Do you know what the problem may be??

Why is everyone making this one way thing seem more involved than it is?

Airline fly's a certain route one way
Airline want's to put another one way on that route.
Before the route creation occurs a check is made

While route creating
"Does this airline already have a one way on this route?"
If Yes
Then
"Sorry , you already have a one way trip on this route!"
Otherwise
"Route created"
EndIf

We can keep it simple for the time being without building in schedules etc etc ... This can be done while the game is running and :Betatested before merging into the current game?

Don't plan for a schedule right know - just for a solution to the "i create some one ways that doesn't make sense" Having an aircraft only serving one ways starting from one airport for example are not really...real so only one ways on one aircraft like this:

- FRA - TXL
- FRA - FCO
- FCO - ZRH

If somebody creates one ways like

- FRA - TXL
- TXL - FCO
- FCO - FRA

Thats perfect and appreciated, but one way combinations that doesn't make sense are bad due to the cheating effect (it's not direct cheating, but its not far away)

The game time will start again on Friday, 17:00 GMT. Mention one thing: It was a hard reset, so the prices/load factor right now are very low - they will rise with more players activated, so wait until friday. Before starting the time again, I will force the routeserver to recalculate all routes, so we have correct prices and loads.

Well that is of course another aspect of stopping incorrect one way's. As long as also the number of one ways per route is capped I (and others) can live with that and it's a good idea!

I could get 28 one ways out of an Antonov last round So very cheap way of playing the game , especially as the one ways give you more profit than returns!

- Incorrect / Impossible one ways will be dealt with
- No more than 1 one way per aircraft on any given route

Yes, the second point is in the game since 9 hours but based on company, so no more than one one-way per route and airline

Sorry my fault - stopped time again, set back to 1st January. All profits and expenses from the happened day-switches were reverted, so nobody had a loss/profit due to this.

Good idea, but this solved not the other problem:

Right know - yeah I did this for a test last round - you can take an A380 for example and fly a route like ZRH - CGK (Zurich - Jakarta)

If you choose roundtrip the block time is something about 32:xx hours -> impossible to fly within the current day-based system.

If you know set one-way, you have half block time and can set up the route and add some european routes based on ZRH departures. So for example you can construct:

- ONE-WAY ZRH-CGK
- Round-Trip ZRH-TXL

With this "technique" you can fly an range you were not able to if the aircraft has to come back, in this constellation the aircraft flys to Jakarta and comes back magically without time and cost to ZRH for connecting flights.

But in reallife it would stand in CGK and every one is asking "how to get back to ZRH? Jakarta was just one-way!"

So in this case we need to ensure that you have to fly back somehow from CGK to ZRH, so this route would not be possible. But I wont restrict it to roundtrips, because triangle-flights should be supported like:

(all one-way) ZRH-FCO-TXL-LHR-ZRH

This is a legal leg-planning - the aircraft will reach again at ZRH and can start his route-sequence again

I think there is something wrong with your theory.
- ONE-WAY ZRH-CGK
- Round-Trip ZRH-TXL
is correct. Why? For the A/C its 3 take-offs a day. Say it fly's Round-Trip ZRH -TXL at Mid-Night, and from there One-Way ZRH - CGK. The following day it would do CGK - ZRH One-Way , then ZRH -TXL. Just because its not labled properly, because of the simplistic system in use, does not mean it is wrong. It only does 3 flights a day, just in reverse. Thats how I see it. Unless you want to complicate life, in which you would have each a/c weekly chart and everyone goes sort which days the a/c fly's a specific route at what time. But you'd have to do too much for that. Instead, you have the a/c doing 3 legs but on the following day it does it in reverse, which is not labled.

Think you are missing a few things about the game, for a start LTN is not a very strong location to start with, however right now with little players on line making routes you will find it hard to make $$$ till more players develop their routes.

You can confirm this by making a route from LTN to either CDG or FRA which are much stronger, I can assure you that those negitive numbers will not be there from either location.
