I have been working very hard to create a major hub at LAX and now I think that it is one of the largest in the game but I still cannot get any connecting traffic to show up when I create a new route. I might be missing something but I look in the area that says load, and connecting load. Like I said, I dont know nothing about how this computer stuff works but this looks to me like it might be a bug.
Also now that I have this large hub if anyone wants to tell me what to do to test any of the known bugs I would be more than happy..
***UPDATE: I was told by someone that knows more than me that I need more gates within 2000NM before I will see anything. I will continue to grow within that range and report back.

Some routes mentioned like LAX-LAS/SFO seems hopeless.
However, dumping routes from Major-Secondary airports seems to have an effect. Although the LF script is still far too unresponsive, my 3rd and 4th aircraft on the route needed a slightly lower price to achieve a 100% LF. My 1st and 2nd aircraft has experienced a drop in LF from 100 to 97%.
Still too unresponsive considering #1 and #2 are at $820 while #4 is at $660.
Another thing I've noticed is, the valuation bug is still there (although this may not be related to the LF script).
Future testing plans:
Build terminals at LAX and LAS, flood the route with some traffic then hub both to see the effects of the "hub".
I'll again be exploiting known bugs to get this done ASAP.
Then pick a different location to play "normally". I should have enough dop at this stage to get this done quickly.

Be interested to know when you buy a terminal, what happens. (Thats all I will say) you tell us what happens when you buy OK ?

1. Hub a location
2. Make a Spoke effect from that location
This generates - PAX numbers for future long-haul routes and drives up the PAX numbers.
And
That player who has performed just the way it should be done is
highspeed (7458)

Has only 3 Locations
Is flying 90,000 routes from LHR to CDG
How flamming stupid can this V2 get
Metro Airways (13065)

Well PJAir didn't really get very far in the current version. Oh well, he will be back where he is in the current game most likely anyways.

Miller placed this there just so you the player can view the equations involved, it also helps you take into account the HUB / SPOKE effect PAX numbers will have in gaining the highest DOP.
Miller can in a key stroke turn it off, but I am sure other players would want to know the figures
Yeah it is a good feature, just needs condensing a bit to avoid the annoying scroll up and down between the fare box and the projected profit.
Couple of other minor details I noticed with the gates :-
BAH in shown as Europe rather than Middle East
ALG is shown as Europe, technically it's Africa
HLA (Lanseria) has been included in the Africa gates when to my knowledge no commercial flights operate from there.

I'll throw planes at two routes: Primary-Primary and Primary-Tertiary to see if *all* the LF script has gone bonkers or only between big cities.
First batch of planes will be ordered and abused in due course - fastest way to throw enough seats for a hub (and the cash to speed up future testing). 2nd batch of planes will investigate the effect in the two routes.
ETC - 24 hours

I was shocked to see that the player who is playing by the rules and is doing exactly what Miller would want to see:
1. Hub a location
2. Make a Spoke effect from that location
If this is actually the test subject i'm willing to change my hub (geneva) in a Hub shortly. But it wil take some time as i'm some how not growing to fast.
I just have ocupied 5 gates at Geneva with a fleet of 3 Dhc8-400's and a single A319. I will leave it like that for a day. Monitor my DOP, and after that i will switch to a Hub and monitor that situation as well.
So for this test I ask other players to wait a day or two before joining a route where Foesah (5364) is flyin' on, so there can be some consitenty(or how is that spelled). In other words the monitoring results can be compared.
thanks

It is pleasing to see that the benifits of now a select few player's are now making the attempt of this Beta, by performing like a tester and not one of the Billy-Goats who plonk frames on mass.
Please report your finding / bugs back to this post as Miller will in time read and make adjustments to the LF script when required.
Thumbs Up to you and the others who are Testing

There is a corrected version of this that should already be in the hands of miller, but I am going to include this in the bugs list, too. By the way, check out http://www.lanseria.co.za, the official homepage of Lanseria Airport. The airport has, although only few, scheduled flights. Low-cost carrier Kulula.com operates flights to Cape Town and Air Botswana to Gaborone. Only a short time ago there were services by South African Express to Cape Town and Kulula.com plans (as to my knowledge) further flights from there. Travelmax also operates scheduled flights to Mozambique. As the airport is also one of the busiest airports in Africa in terms of traffic it makes sense to have it added in the database.
Actually there is room for many more, but we first have to find a satisfying LF equation, so that making a profit is possible.
Cheers,
Felix

While I was creating routes for more dumping...a whoopsie. 9x freq @ 100% LF on a 217nm route. The script did a no-no on the profit!
I also get the odd 0% LF but not very often when I assign an aircraft on a route I've already dumped but at 1x frequency. The projected revenue calculator doesn't show this. A reset fixes it.

However, I think it's poorly designed...from a User Interface aspect.
There's an awful lot of page changes you have to go thru to get information.
Also, the drop down boxes are absolutely too huge! There are too many options in them.
The page could be better using AJAX or possibly Flash with PHP remoting.
I'd volunteer to help, but I dont know if they want anyone else working on the project.
I'm not sure what the scope of this beta testing is, but I wanted to give my feedback.
