Today at 9:55PM EST American Airlines announces fare war on select routes to and from Dallas Fort Worth to help knock out carriers from the already saturated route to regain profit. AA has sacrificed an approx. $45000 route out of DFW.

Honestly, you have 4 DFW gates. Who exactly are you going to knock off routes... and what planes do you have to dump capacity?

so...those four DFW gates had me making $200,000+ DOP but because of airlines coming in and out of my routes its gone down so i have a pressing reason

Ooo i plan on it my DOP is still quite high, once i inherit some more 737-800s and 757-200s i wont be too too worried...

AA's gotta do what its gotta do! I have no problem sacrificing a few routes, because i go in and change other prices accordingly to keep my DOP high

theres quite a few some of which involve Songs low fares and other airlines jumping in to add less profit. I'm the only American Airlines out here in AE (i have the 80Yrs logo.)

I still don't know which routes there is a "fare war" on... Putting your price $10 below mine does nothing to the effect of a "fare war" due to my hub and larger passenger base...

hahaha Funny, you call that making others leave, this is a case of most under $80 fares your little (Not even Showing) % $1 will not make much effect at all.

If you want to clean up a route, then employ some fire-power not a piddly little Bombardier.

A333s are always good for fare wars , a Q400 won't disrupt anyone unless there are very few seats already.

Well, Travelhouse, depends on how u used a Q400 that will bring results. Obviously, sometimes bigger is better, but Q400s used effectively, can make people really upset
