So let me get this straight. If I want to fly for example OSL-LIM and the demand is for only one flight a week, I should at least fly 7 times a week to justify me leasing a gate at LIM? Because if not, I am a gate hogger according to Moldova96? Seems a bit strange to me! But maybe I got this topic all wrong...

My argument is not for those who fly like 2 or 3 routes at 1x weekly, I am about the airlines that are based around just flying 1-2x weekly and nothing else. I know the demand may not be there for anything higher than that, but surely that should show the person that maybe they shouldn't actually bother opening that route in the first place.

Then I don't get why you've mentioned my airline (Norwegian) in the first place. Sure there are routes with a 1x weekly frequency, but to state that the airline is based around flying 1-2x weekly is just incorrect. Furthermore, if there is a market for a 1x weekly and it's profitable, why shouldn't I bother flying that route?

Maybe try a flight from other places in Norway. Could BGO or SVG not warrant a flight there?

Sure, I do that a lot. But a destination that has a 1x or 2x weekly from OSL, doesn't get a lot more traffic from BGO, SVG or TRD though...

can OSL even handle all of the demand your airline even offer?

Looking at your gates, you have a lot of empty slots such as AGP/ Malaga, ADB/ Izmir, ACE/ Lanzarote, ATH/ Athens, BMA/ Stockholm Bromma. Could you not build terminals in places like Amsterdam/ AMS, Stockholm Arlanda/ ARL and Barcelona/ BCN? It would save you hundreds of thousands and give slots to R-Delta?

I think the solution to this is severely dropping the amount of demand on smaller international routes. I mean, how many people really want to fly from Nashville to Shitholistad in the Punjab?
