hello! so essentially, the game itself is still very active, although the forums are not. the answer to both questions is that the game has existed since like 2010 i believe, and there is only one developer (yuxi) that is still active. there has not been an update in many years, except for the realistic demand update last year. 

why R5 is still tagged as "starts on march 30..." even though it has already started?

owned planes, not leased, contribute. terminals and (i believe) hubs also help. the big factor late game is always cash on hand.

go to the airline history tab, then to assets, and you can see what goes into the valuation calculation. for example, my airline (limejet) is valued like so: 350260.8 cash on hand, 27344.5 fleet value, 16346.3 aircraft deposits, and 24.6 building value, which combined results in 393976.2 total valuation (all numbers in millions of dollars). the cash on hand is the biggest part by far, although the value of owned aircraft is very important also, as is the down payment on new planes, and terminals are not important late game but they are early. if you look at your stats there you can see where most of your value is coming from and where you can improve. the bottom line is focus on growth or else keep the money as cash because that does not lose value but everything else does.

hey all! so i have been very busy recently and cannot devote the same of time i used to to AE. currently i operate LimeJet, ranked fifth in R5. i am looking for a reliable joint manager to take LimeJet to the next level. lime is based in south korea, and there is an absurd amount of untapped demand there, but i am too busy to take advantage of it. i operate the oneworld alliance, the largest ingame alliance, with 18 members. there are 109 inactive widebody aircraft currently, although that number may change, due to my slowly adding routes. i will not tolerate spamlining, beyond the basics that i have currently employed.

NOTE: I WILL NOT NECESSARILY GIVE IT TO THE FIRST REQUEST, BUT WILL GIVE IT TO THE FIRST RELIABLE OFFER.

this tends to be true irl too, where large airports cost more to operate at then small airports (although not at the level shown ingame, where you find $20 airports and $800000 airports.)

so i have been having trouble recently with route demand and supply. generally when i assign a route i will cover it at 125% of demand, but now i am going back and discovering that the demand is changing...? it is the only explanation i can think of, because all of my routes from south korea to europe and north america have supply that is  now at or under demand. this is perplexing. did they add demand fluctuations when they added realistic demand? or am i just being an idiot?
