I support this... Especially for airlines which want to continue using a specific aircraft. Obviously, for the CL-44 there are exceptions but it allows for airlines that want to continue to use a specific aircraft long after it has been used.

I would have said 787-10s but they are more in line with 200 series 777s and aren't actually that economical  . I would have to say 777-300, because there is nothing quite like it.

Not knowing the game world or year that game world is in, i would suggest replacing your existing fleet with new 777-300ER.

 

However in saying that, i think you will fine that perhaps replacing them with 748s would result in an increase in fuel usage and seat costs against the 777-300ER.

 

But i would also suggest the 787-10, depending on the game world, to replace the 777-300ER. While not having the same seat capacity as the 777-300ER, you would see a benefit in less fuel usage and less operational costs in using a newer aircraft, but needed to increase frequency to match the current capacity offered by your existing 777-300ER fleet.

787-10 is really uneconomical. You may as well fly 9s or even 8s instead because of how little difference there is in seating capacity.

I dislike both. But I much prefer 8 abreast to 9 or 10. So A340 it is for me on night flights.

After an AF A380 got one of its engines torn in midair recently, I'm starting to rethink if flying the ugly duckling of Airbus's widebody fleet is worth the patience...

Safety record is still very good. Just 2 incidents in 10 years is pretty good going I think. Not brilliant, but still very good. If you can get a seat near the front of the lower deck or any seat on the upper deck it is very much worth it. Probably worth seeking out, especially if travelling economy.

Another thing to make it more realistic - Used aircraft delivery times. Since they come from bankrupt airlines, or airlines that sold them, have them have a flight from wherever they came from to wherever you choose to send them (within the restrictions of course).

Ok. I'm out then. My aviation experience is flying Cessna 172s & Caravans, Piper PA28s, Beechcraft Barons & King Airs, Dash 8s, A320s, Boeing 767s and Boeing 777s.

My piloting experience is limited to Piper Cherokee's and Cessna 152s (training purposes only, I'm too young to get a license currently). But I do have a fair amount of knowledge in aviation that could be of help. Message if you want me to join the team for anything in particular

The current AEv3 build is mostly PHP in the back end with JavaScript taking care of most of the stuff the player sees (charts, graphs, etc). Unless somebody suggests a reason otherwise we'd like to keep that basic arrangement for the sake of easy translation of popular AE features to AEv4.

That said I've been told current AE code "looks more or less like somebody skull****ed spaghetti" (I'm paraphrasing).

No. It's meant for serious mature discussion about how to increase AE's pace of development. I logged in today to see the thread locked. And I read what got it locked. And decided to start this with a disclaimer

I've talked to three different people about helping you guys - one of them is proficient in Python if you're interested but it seems like you have a lot of Python people. I have experience running things on forums, namely Universal, and I'm also taking a Leadership course and receiving a high A (94% when I was last told).
