And you can't say anything about that not being a valid reason when you've just posted in another thread why you won't fly a certain airline because of national pride.

That was meant as a joke ;) If you are not aware of Danish-Norwegian relations perhaps you shouldn't comment on them. Besides, i did not critise Norwegian in any way.

National Pride! That's exactly what I'm on about!!!! Plus, I HATE Star Alliance!!!

You are welcome to take your business to another company. Besides, most passengers don't care if BMI is owned by a German company.

But who will you fly then? BA is "Spanish" today, almost all charter carriers have been rolled into TUI, incidentally a German company.
I sure hope you don't feel the same about cars...

Are you joking!? I'm sorry but LH is most certainly not a 'good thing' for BMI... your understanding of the situation is clearly not up to scratch. It seems to me LH are ruining the airline. That said, there wasn't much to ruin anyway. But LH are just going to make it less and less British, if you know what I mean. Ok, they re-introduced the full name, even though they've used the wrong one, seeing as there's no International in the name, but I can just see it becoming more and more German, which I as a Brit absolutely detest.

Of course though, I hated Lufthansa before this anyway...

It's an airline. What exactly makes it special for being British? And how will the airline become "German"? This is just nonsense and national pride, nothing to do with running an airline.

British Midland has actually returned to profits again this year:

The unprofitable long-haul routes have been cut away, and code-shares with the Lufthansa group and Star Alliance have been strengthened.
