In Topic: Anyone wanting 50s-70s liveries?

02 December 2017 - 02:26 AM

Airline Name: PrAirie

Airline type (flag carrier, legacy, regional etc): Global network based in grassland/plains regions of the world

Country: Central & Southern Russia, Sub Saharan Africa, Argentina, Midwest US and Canada, Southwest Australia & most of continental Europe (for open world lol)

Aircraft (Please pick from one of Med's wonderful templates): 707-320B

Aircraft Registration: Any is fine

Logo (describe it or upload an example): Don't have a logo concept, maybe something abstract like long grasses blowing in the wind

Colour scheme: Golden yellows and pale greens

What you'd like the livery to be like:  I like your examples with color blocked sections but perhaps something a bit more asymmetrical. Maybe the colors are close in value so there isn't a high contrast effect.

(The more detailed the better, use bits and pieces from real airlines of the time if you like)

Thanks hope I'm not too vague!

In Topic: [Livery & Logo Request] - GAIA

Well it would be in O1 or O2 - I was thinking 737-300 could be happy medium between the two eras and bc the general focus is to hit all airports in the climate zones no matter the size. But check out either of my current airlines for the aircraft types it’ll be similar. Small capacities but all kinds of range. Since O1 will come up next let’s say that era.

Main region will be the Taiga, so Russia, Canada and N. Europe with New Zealand & New South Wales and Eastern Turkey as smaller sections.

Thanks for all the good info, your reasoning makes a lot of sense. I was initially just curious really but lately I've been getting more interested in playing to match real world conditions. I wasn't planning on fixing this but your solution is quite simple and easy. I wonder how many of the top ranked airlines also do this? Is this where those inflated fleet numbers come from I wonder.

Oh no I understand about 0 demand, but I'm curious about the generation of the map image with "start" and "end" pins on the open new routes search result.

So interesting, thanks! I had no idea weather conditions could cause enough trouble to affect regular scheduling. Wouldn't that be an interesting add to AE.

As much as my curiosity is quenched now I gotta know what is getting shipped to Alaska from Seoul of all places. I guess it's not that surprising but of all the origins for cargo to Alaska I never would have picked Seoul.
