Introducing Caracas WorldPort©
21 April, Year 4

Hawk Airlines is pleased to announce the Grand Opening of it's new hub in Caracas, Venezuela, pleasantly known as WorldPort©. The new facility currently has five gates and is expandable to over twenty gates should the airline pursue its growth. The operation out of WorldPort© currently consists of five (5) aircraft, three (3) Airbus A319s and two (2) Airbus A330-200 jets providing rapid service across the Caribbean region as well as to North America and Europe. CEO Committed Lurker was at the ceremony where he delivered a keynote speech,

"Our commitment to Caracas and Venezuela will help to propel this nation's air service into the twenty-first century. We are committed to providing fast, comfortable, efficient airline service to many gateways not only in the region, but throughout the world. As we continue to receive new aircraft, they will be positioned here in Caracas with the intent of having our operations extend throughout the Americas, and hopefully, one day, we will be able to connect both of our magnificent hubs, Tokyo and Caracas, with a nonstop flight."

WorldPort© currently has service to seventeen destinations throughout the region, including nonstop service to both London/Heathrow and Paris/CDG.

Middle East, Finland, and Other News
17 February, Year 4

With the ongoing acquisition of new Airbus A330-200 aircraft, the airline is pleased to announce that it has commenced service from its Tokyo/Haneda hub to two of the finest destinations in the Middle East: Cairo and Riyadh. There will also be through-flight service from Riyadh to our Paris/CDG station with the local traffic rights we were able to receive. Airline CEO Committed Lurker stated, "Our service to Cairo marks our first presence in Africa, and the Riyadh service will give many Japanese Moslems the chance to visit the Holy Land."

Prior to the Middle East launch, the airline also commenced its first services to Scandinavia via Helsinki, Finland. At Helsinki, the airline received traffic rights to carry local passengers to and from Helsinki to our existing stations at Athens and Paris/CDG. From CDG, there is a through-flight to our London/Heathrow gateway, although local traffic cannot be carried on this flight. These expansions have allowed the airline to open its first crew bases outside Japan in both Helsinki and Paris.

Updating the airline's fleet situation, we still have five (5) Airbus A330-200s on backorder, with four (4) of them expected to enter service within the next two months. We also have seven (7) Airbus A319s on backorder that will be utilized to help the airline establish its next hub. That hub location is yet to be determined.

New Horizons, Expanded Fleet, and Other News
22 October, Year 3

Within the past several months, the airline has been aggressively expanding its reach throughout the world as it acquires new longhaul aircraft and reaches agreements with airport authorities regarding flights and overall services.

Over this time, we have been successful at negotiating leases and services for flights out of Anchorage, Calgary, Phoenix, and Las Vegas, thereby giving us access to eleven (11) cities in North America. With these rights, the airline has commenced services from its Tokyo/Haneda hub to Anchorage, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. On top of these services, we have also gained exclusive rights to operate through-flights out of Phoenix to both Calgary and our existing Chicago/Midway stations. All of these flights are utilized with our Airbus A330-200 jets, the workhorse of the Hawk Airlines fleet.

Airline CEO Committed Lurker is proud of the airline's accomplishments over the past several months:

"Through rigorous and ongoing negotations, we have been able to break ground in traditionally slot-restricted airports in North America that our competitors have been vying for for months. This has put us in a competitive advantage to provide our loyal customers with service to some of the greatest gateways North America has to offer."

The airline plans on linking Calgary to Tokyo within the next couple months.

Numerous orders from airlines around the world has led to a massive queue at the Airbus facilities, which may delay our newer aircraft's entry into revenue service. Currently, the airline has nine (9) additional Airbus A330-200s on backorder, with three of them scheduled for delivery over the next two months. Before the end of this month, we will officially put in another order for two (2) additional Airbus A319 jets.

The airline's subfleet of Boeing 777-200LRs has been going strong and is effectively running the airline's services that are outside the 6,500 nautical mile bandrange of the A330. Services to Dallas/Ft. Worth and Atlanta have proven to be very successful, and the airline is looking into additional destinations on the east coast of North America.

Fleet Update, Destinations, and Other News
20 July, Year 3

In a formal press release issued today by corporate headquarters, the airline announced that has already introduced service from Tokyo to Milan, Italy. The flight will be operated aboard the airline's Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Once in Milan, passengers may connect to either Moscow or Athens, with both of these feeder flights also operated by A330s. The airline initially wanted to start a feeder service from Milan to Paris, but received some strict criticisms from the airport as well as competitors.

"The pressure we received from the incumbents to withdraw from the route was much greater than it's profit potential," said CEO Committed Lurker, who continued to mention "Had we continued a Milan-Paris route we were almost sure we would receive some sort of retalliation from them in the form of encroachment at our hub or potential dilution of many of our key markets, something we're not willing to take a chance on. In the end, we decided to keep the wishes of the status quo intact and take our business elsewhere."

The nonstop flights from Tokyo to Paris remain unaffected.

The airline still has numerous aircraft on order from Airbus, with two (2) Airbus A319s scheduled to enter the airline sometime late next month, as well as five (5) Airbus A330-200s which will be phased into the fleet over a period of the next one year. Our coverage from the Tokyo/Haneda hub is one of the best in Asia, and we are pleased to announce that we service literally every airport in a 3,500 mile radius of HND. Over the next couple months, the airline will conduct research to find another suitable hub location as we begin to outgrow HND and as competition continues to eat away at our marketshare.

Lastly, the airline announced today that they will be selling it's Airbus A318 aircraft once suitable A319 replacements arrive. The airline will continue to consolidate fleet types so as to streamline operations as efficiently as possible. The airline looks to maintain the A319, the A330-200, and the 777-200LR for the long term, with the A319s and A330s becoming the workhorse of the fleet. The 777-200LRs will continue to be vital to the airline, albeit they will be entering the fleet in lesser frequencies compared to the Airbus jets.

New Destinations & Transformations
24 April, Year 3

Today the airline completed its transformation from a point-to-point carrier to a full-service hub-and-spoke carrier with the phase out of almost all of its remaining P2P flights. The only P2P flights remaining in the system are our services between Hong Kong-Sapporo as well as Okinawa-Osaka/Itami. Effectively immediately all cities in the system will be serviced from the Tokyo/Haneda hub with the exception of the two P2P services previously mentioned.

With the reallocation of aircraft throughout the system, we are pleased to announce service to nine new destinations that will give us greater reach in the markets we serve. Now we fly to all airports within a 2000 mile radius of Tokyo.
