World-Link Alliance - Interest?

09 October 2012 - 05:23 PM

World-Link Alliance is looking at the interest from airlines to join in this game world. Currently nothing has been set up, and there is a clear and evident lack of co-operation and agreement between alliance members in any of the other alliances within this world.

World-link want's to be different and set up a charter which all airlines who become members must adhere to. This will include but will not be limited to:

3 Management Airline Members (suggestion is the most successful CEOs of airlines for these positions) - to assist and advise other memebrs and to provide clarity on Allaince Regulations/Agreements if required.

Code Share - Agreement must be met between alliance airlines competing on the same routes - this may include agreement to frequency, price and aircraft type.

Anti-Competitive Measures - Member Airlines can ask for assistance to assist them when routes of the airline are being targeted by another airline.

Management Assistance - When an airline is struggling an alliance member can request help from a CEO of an alliance member airline to help turn their airline around.

Arbitration - When Agreement cannot be reached on routes that 2 or more alliance members are operating than the alliance will have an independent review board consisting of 3 alliance members not involved on the disputed routes to come to a fixed agreement which alliance members must abide by.

These are just a few ideas, but I would welcome any comments or suggestions and more importantly if anyone would be keen to join

Whats the Point

What is the point in being in an alliance when clearly the allainces have no forum set up and it just seems to be a free for all on each alliance memebers routes and bases? When I started out in this game world, and joined an alliance I thought there would be an alliance closed forum where you could discuss with fellow memebrs strategies for alirlines on a route with regard to pricing and seating offered, it would protect you in your HQ and you could work together in other bases. BUt this seems to not be the case inthis game, nad as much as like AE, it seems severely flawed in areas such as alliances where route co-operation should be key along with pricing strategies.

On another note are paxsupposed to be sensitive to things like IFS and IFE as well as seating, yet it seems to not make anydifference where you offer food and IFS or tnothing at all for them - so is this another totally pointless area?

The game is good but its most definately flawed and maybe some algorithyms needs to be worked in so the 'pax' prefer the heavily advertisied premium airline offering thngssuch as IFS and IFE other those flying rusty old crates with poor services!

Route Flooding

Ok, SO I'm fairly new to this game but I've noticed that some competitors like to deliberately flood routes with say 4, 5, 6 times the routes actual demand and then deliberately slash prices by upto 90%. How are you supposed to stay profitable when you get idiots like this who because of their sheer size can afford to keep this up. I have played in other online Airline simulations where this sort of practice is frowned upon and the airlines involved are forced by an anti monopoly board to reduce their offering to a maximum 200% demand. Is there an anti competition rules in this game or is it just a free for all?
