Messed up model, I suspect.
Either that, or the MD-11 is more powerful than you think.

FSX is unrealistic with braking times and takeoff times. I can take off in a 737 in a small grass field.

I use Google Earth FS, like WTAWorld. I mainly travel on sightseeing flights around. My longest flight was on a Cirrus SR22 around Buenos Aires, about 30 minutes. I made a crash landing at EZE, though. :whistling:

Wow. That is a little unrealistic.

I'm currently using YSFlight, so my flights last as long as the missions, 5-25 minutes. I don't fly long :P

Do you mean this (737) or was there a separate incident that involved an A320? :P

Longest flight now (updated) is KPSP (Palm Springs,CA) to KTRM (Thermal, CA), in a BA A380. Now, I know, that is only 24 miles; but I circled around and enjoyed the scenery.... it was also a test of the A380's fuel supply. I landed in the red at TRM on both tanks.
This was on X-Plane for iPad, which is :awesome: btw ($9.99, full realistic FS)

Is that the default 737 in FSX? Try landing the PMDG 737NGX in a grass field and see what happens ;)

I managed to go coast to coast in a Cessna 172 with 1 stop (no cheating like increasing winds or anything else). Basically flew at max altitude 15 to 16k and leaned the motor as far as I could and still maintain power. Ran out of gas on roll out at final stop. I did use the weight and balance page to accurately gauge the gas to the pound. I chose my mid stop by watching the gas and picking an airport that I could just make it on. Including figuring on less fuel being burned on the decent. Can go quite a ways when your comming down from 16k in a 172. :P

I used to put a 747 on the runway at Meigs, lift off just before the end of the runway. Roll inverted immediately and climb out over Chicago upside down.

Never could get the Lear Jet on that damn carrier though. Let alone the 380.
