I refreshed it like 100 and it stays the same. It's very annoying. Are you using a chat service from another website that it's based on?

If you're getting stuck at "Please wait while we load the chatroom..." (not a CJOIN or CSTART), it's a connection problem between their computer and the chat server.


Try going to the IPS chat (http://community.inv...power.com/chat/) and see if you get the same problem.

I found the error for me, the chat server was being blocked by my router. (My dad blocked it ,he didn't tell me )

Its been completely unusable for a lot of people today. This is a problem with IPB chat, and it needs to be taken to them.

I was waiting for 25 minutes earlier to get into chat and now I see text repeating 6-8 times over, the list of users has dissapeared off the side of the chat and It's so annoying to even use.

The chat has been a bloody pain in the arse to get onto today
Takes 20 mins of refreshing if you're lucky

Is it a C-JOIN0 or a C-START0?

I think theres been a bit of both. - Cjoins were the main one

I often find that I get in to the chat, but then it hangs and I get the member list but a white screen with "please wait while we load the chatroom" or words to that effect.

I only get CStarts when chat is reset in the middle of the night.
The CJoins have dies down for me as well.

Other than that, is there any way we can prevent the chat from getting these errors? or at the least reduce the frequency of them ?

Shout at IPB until they fix them?

Theyre back again - 15 20minutes after the reset so far and no luck so far....

I am receiving tons of C-Starts for no particular reason.

Yea, these cstart and cjoin happenings are a pain.

I mean, i reckon 3 times in the last time, when the chat server restarted around 6pm my time, took me half an hour before i was successful in getting into chat.

The C-JOIN0 errors are due to the connection to the chat server timing out. I contacted IPS and they've increased the timeout limit, so this shouldn't happen anymore.
