Oh come now, doesn't anyone else like a good ponzi scheme? You buy the stocks, then immediately sell them as they have no real value. Just don't be the poor schmoe that can't sell their stocks because the value mysteriously skyrockets. Of course the airlines issuing the stocks just get a good laugh, as they basically can get free money from others by selling shares, and as it stand now, not really have any negative impact until they lose majority ownership. Stocks need to have a dividend associated with them, as currently shareholders don't really have an incentive to own any less than a majority stake.

Stockprices are now at a normal level, a reset will come up not yet for a important reason: I will integrate the new connected flight system and a changed delivery system before resetting (the changed flight system will require a reset - so doing a reset now would be a bad idea).

Dividends will also come soon, the stock price will be also affected by the life time profit and the profit trends (thats not the case at this time), also the squeeze-out feature will be introduced soon.

Just found another 3 players with a cash lower than -100,000,000 - but this is not related to stock market things, it's related to some aircraft orders and massive gate leasing

Just curious, but I'm guessing that the purpose of the stock market was not to allow a majority share holder to 'bankrupt' an airline. My airline was #45 (TranWorld Airlines) this morning and CrazyJet purchased 52% of my shares. They transferred 90% of my profit to their account, leaving me almost 500M in the hole. The 90% transferred was not the profit earned after they purchased the shares either, it was calculated off of a different number, because I do not earn 500M profit in one month.

Sadly, CrazyJet also only had 4 planes prior to the sweep out of my account. They now have 92 planes on order - yet not one single route setup. The account seems to just be a 'holding company' for reselling planes.

Am I the only one frustrated by this? :puzzled:

3 of my alliance members have zero cash and have decided to quit this round till a reset.

They said its a shame that there are so many little bugs that bring the game to its knees.

To be honest it was your choice to release 52%. If you didn't want a "sister airline" to take your profits. Dont release more than 50%

Tha's easy to say but there are not enough warnings in place. It's easy to put shares on the market and not realise it.

Anyway, I sorted that out by mothballing everything and closing my routes. They can have whatever % of nothing they want

Yes, I understand that it was my choice to release this, but honestly, I did not assume that I would lose my company based on what little was listed on the Stock Market in the game. I know there are instances in real life where a 'hostile takeover' can occur, but even then a Board of Directors or other party votes and more often than not, both companys have equal say in what happens...It's not realistic that you're able to buy stock worth 100M and then take over 400M from that company overnight...

And to add to that Elchie said it was not possible to squeeze out company's at the moment. This shows that it is possible! So it was not tested enough to put into a live game.
