The CEO of Air S today made the first press announcements of the airline for several months. As it stands, the airline operates 40 aircraft on over 250 routes. Since their last press release, they have ordered and received the following aircraft:

2x Fairchild Dornier 328
1x Tupolev Tu334-100
4x Cessna C208 Caravan Grand
2x Antonov An-148-100
1x Fairchild USA Metro 23

They have also purchased 1 Metro 23 on the used market from KaaiElElm. These new aircraft have allowed them to begin domestic and regional services in Italy, France, Germany and Spain, as well as Spain to Portugal and Morocco. They have also begun services between South Korea, Japan and China. The focus cities for the airline are Bordeaux, Malaga, Barcelona, Sevilla, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Rome Fiumincono and Milan Linate. The CEO announced that new month's delivery of aircraft, expected to include C208 Caravan Grands, J-31s and Metro 23s, as well as possibly another An-148-100 or Tu334-100, will be used to expand German and Spanish regional services and to launch regional services in 2 of China, India, Japan or Russia. Future regional destinations also on the cards for the airline are in Canada, the Former Yugoslavia and Scandanavia. Many pundits in the airline have been interested in the launch of Air S in the US. However, the CEO informed shareholders at an Extraordinary General Meeting that the US is probably too crowded a market for the airline and they prefer to expand in Europe and Asia. Plans for the next year also include possible launches in the Caribbean, South America and African expansion. The CEO also told the market that the airline is investigating purchasing long range aircraft to connect Australian, Asian and South-East Asian services with European services via the Middle East.

Why don't you use something like an Airbus A320 or something like that for your bigger routes? They are extremely efficient aircraft, have fairly good range and are fairly cheap to run.

Thank You for choosing ASIA INTERNATIONAL

The CEO of Air S today announced the delivery of 2 Cessna C208 Carvan Grand and 1 Fairchild USA Metro 23. Two of these aircraft are in service around Southeast Asia and Asia, with new services in the Philippines and Malaysia. The remaining C208 will be used on domestic routes in India. The airline more also announced that the airline is now the second largest in Southeast Asia-Australia, falling from first place. The airline plans to return to its first position. However, the CEO said that they require more money to allow gate purchases to extend in the region. The airline's debt was caused by the purchase on the used market of three aircraft for around 10 million dollars. The CEO says that there is very good value available in the used market and the airline plans to make around $500,000 dollars profit daily on the three aircraft purchased eventually, but the aircraft are currently unused because of a lack of money for gates. The following aircraft were purchased by the airline:

1 Lockheed L-1011-1
1 Cessna C208 Caravan Grand
1 ATR ATR-72-500

While the L-1011-1 has been plagued with huge losses for its previous owners, the CEO announced that the airline's Research and Development division has found many routes that the aircraft can be profitable on. He declined to elaborate, but announced that services around Europe and possibly North America will be introduced by the airline.

The airline is investigating the possiblilties of larger aircraft, but part of the airline's plan is to operate regionally and they prefer smaller planes such as Fairchilds, Cessnas and BAEs. However, an A320 may be purchased down the track when the airline is established in many regions to afford passengers connections between the regions.

The CEO of Air S was sorry to today announce the sale of the airline's recently purchased L-1011-100. He cited lack of profit and aircraft age as reasons for its sale. The CEO also announced that the airline's recently purchased 2 C208 Caravan Grands and 1 ATR 72-500 had been successfully launched in the Indian subcontinent. The airline now services India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka as well as its already formidable list of countries.

Your reports are good, you set an example for other airlines to follow, many former past players did exactly this, however the game has got a little out of hand and is now all about getting to the top of the leader board.

You get my vote for making a go in this Sim, with small aircraft. :D

The CEO of Air S was pleased to announce the purchase of two aircraft on the used market for a total of around $5 million. The two aircraft purchased were 1 Cessna 404 and 1 Cessna Citation B. The airline is taking a major risk with the Citation B, as it is a notoriously unprofitable type of aircraft. However, the CEO moved to reassure stockholders that the airline is planning to make significant profit. Announcements about the new routes will be made over the next day.

Air S has recently been expanding its 404 fleet, with 5 purchased in the last few months on the used markets. These aircraft together with other aircraft purchased on the used market have allowed Air S to exapand into many more regional markets recently within already developed subsidaries. These are:

Scandinavia: Focus cities Stockholm Arlanda and Gothenburg with gates in around 25 cities. Massive development region for the airline, with approx. 4 aircraft serving it.
Poland and Czech Republic: Focus city Warsaw with around 10 gates. One aircraft.
Northern Africa (Libya, Morocco, Algeria etc.): Focus cities Algiers and Marrakech. 2 aircraft, 15 gates.
Yugoslavia: Focus city Zagreb. 1 aircraft, 8 gates.

The CEO also announced that two new airline subsidiaries will be created: SUS Airlines (North America) and SAS Connections (South and Central America). Currently SUS Airlines operates a fleet of two aircraft in Colorado and Florida from the focus cities of Denver, Jacksonville and Tampa. SAS Connections operates one aircraft flying between northern capitals. The focus city in this region is Bogota. Both subsidiaries are expecting delivery of 1 404 each to expand services. SUS is looking at central-northern states, and SAS is looking at Argentina, Brazil or Peru.

The CEO of Air S today announced the purchase on the used market of one C208 Carvan Grand and one 404. The 404 will be delivered to SAS Connections, the airline's South American subsidary. The C208 will be delivered to the Europeanair S to use in the Scandinavian region or a new market. Another recently purchased, unused 404 will be delivered to SUS Airlines to continue expansion. The aircraft purchase has left the airline in debt, as original plans were to only buy the 404. However, the CEO said that the opportunity of a C208 was too good to miss. He said the debt is very slight and the airline will be ready to purchase gates for the new aircraft to service tomorrow. Due to this debt, the aircraft will remain unused until tomorrow.

Air S received several aircraft this month. The aircraft delivered were the previously announced aircraft as well as an additional J-31. These aircraft, as well as the previously purchased used aircraft, have been used in:
Washington State, Oregon and British Columbia: Focus city Seattle-Tecoma, one aircraft.
Bolivia, Peru and Chile: Focus city La Paz, one aircraft.
Argentina and Uruguay: Focus city Buenos Aires Ezieza, one aircraft.
Mexico: Focus city Guadalajara, two aircraft.
Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Ontario and Pennsylvania: Focus city Cleveland, one aircraft.
Other new aircraft have been used to service routes from Brunei, Stockholm Skavasta and Warsaw. The CEO announced that when more gates become available at Stockholm Arlanda, services to and from Skavasta will be switched to Arlanda to increase profitability. The airline still has several unused aircraft and these will be deployed on new routes soon. The CEO also confirmed the order of 21 Cessna C208 Caravan Grands today. The reason these aircraft were purchased in bulk was to decrease costs by approximately $250,000 per unit. The airline has been ordering the aircraft in twos recently, and this bulk order will save money, the CEO said. The airline also plans to purchase more J-31s or Metro 23s this month, or used aircraft.

Air S has today announced a major new initiative. All Air S flights, including its subsidiaries, between large cities (with 75 or more gates) will be rebranded under a unique CityFlyer service. Passengers on CityFlyer services will be served full hot meals on flights one and a half hours or longer, and all passengers on all flights will have a complimentary snack and beverage bar available to them. This includes non-CityFlyer services. All CityFlyer passengers will also have the availability of phone services, as well as internet and in-seat power. Also, in a first for the airline industry, from now on all planes from Bombardier Q400 or larger in the airline's fleet will have an onboard cafe available (restaurant on flights 6 hours or above). The cafe will serve snacks, beverages and small meals for a price, and the restaurant will serve large meals as well as the cafe service. The airline's one demand video and audio service will also undergo an upgrade, with selection of music and video increased, as well as new iPod compatibility, allowing normal iPod functions, as well as charging. Passengers on all flights 4 hours or above will have the availability of an onboard host, who will give help for tourists going to the city. This includes accommodation, leisure, food and cultural advice. The CEO believes that these new initiatitives will increase profit, as well as customer satisfaction. The current fleet will undergo a refit for these services.

Air S' Chinese market is now served by 9 aircraft from its Changsha hub. It also has several flights between other destinations in China. Expansion into another hub is underway, with locations in the centre and north being looked at to allow expansion into destinations in the north that have been previosly too far away. The airline has also launched service in the south of Japan from its basein Nagoya. Once the airline's debt is eliminated, gates will be purchased to allow expansion in the north.
