Qantas - widebodies on SYD-MEL/BRS, etc...
KLM - 1-2 dialy widebodies on AMS-LHR
United/AA - fly their widebodies through their hubs
Iberia - Flies A340-300s to LHR/FRA when needed
Middle East Airlines fly anything from A319s to B773ERs on routes within that region...
It is common practice in real life, so why would AE be any different?

I never knew Qantas did Sydney - Bristol, North East Somerset, UK.
I think you mean BNE.
I expected more of you Mr Maestro.

P.S. Bristol is the best spotting airport I can get to myself - Continental 757s! Can't wait for Transat (A310) and FlyGlobespan (767) to Toronto flying over my house.

South-East asia beats it all:Real world flights:

Singapore Airlines and Malaysian Airlines: Several B777's each on KUL-SIN
Thai Airways and Malaysian Airlines: Widebodies (A330 and B777) on KUL-BKK
Thai Airways and Singapore Airlines: Widebodies (A330 and B777) on SIN-BKK
All of them more than once a day.
And what about B747D flying domesticly in Japan with more than 500 pax?

You're possibly right. I only know about the once weekly 777 flight from ATL was on Sunday at noon and it was listed in their timetable (one of my friends got one when he came back from ATL.)Pretty sure the ATL-MCO 777 runs from Delta were primarily IOE flights (at least in the past I know they were). Delta also used to have a midnight repositioning flight from FLL to MIA that was open to pax - don't know if that one still happens or not. Can't remember what type a/c on that flight, but most likely was a 767, since most ATL-FLL flights were 767s.

You're right... I do believe it was a Sunday flight... in any event, I remember I almost took it once to go ATL-ORL-FLL instead of direct ATL-FLL just so I could get the chance to ride on a 777!

Cathay Pacific use their B747 to operate HKG-TPE
Qantas use B747 on SYD-MEL/BNE
Ya but ANA is getting rid of their B747s because they think frequency is better than capacity which is totally right. Cathay is also thinking the same way.

The Qantas flight is an International flight that is just making a scheduled collection of PAX Mel / Syd, this will be for overseas once the internal Australian flight is done, you can not jump on in Mel and depart in SydQantas use B747 on SYD-MEL/BNE
