I already fly out of ORD. I am just pulling an AA and trying to rid my airport of competition.... even if it is a preempted strike

Should Australis make an attempted invasion of FRA, CDG will be invaded.
Yeah and how are you going to do that? You won't be able to acquire enough aircraft in order to protect ORD and protect FRA while invading CDG. Much less LHR and MCO at the same time.
Please try it. I'd like to see how fast you drop in the rankings.

Australis today reveals parts of a plan that will have the airline operating from an airport in the US, to not only guarantee slots across the US incase slots run out, but to also service the US from the choosen airport.
Even though the CEO hasnt mentioned which airport, the indication is that a particular airport has been choosen to start operations initially with Q400s, which are expected to be acquired at short notice in the marketplace. The inital operations will consist of focusing on operating strategic routes to gain an understanding of the marketplace and then, beef up the airport with A320-200s and B737-900s to connect to the rest of the US, Canada and Central/South America.
And with all this expansion, comes orders. The CEO of Australis revealed to the media that Australis has signed with Boeing an order for 20 B737-900s with up to 50 options for future growth, which analysts believe will be taken up as soon as Australis can afford to. While, announcing a paraller order with Airbus, for 20 A320-200s and up to 50 options.
"We believe that with these aircraft in the interim, will suffice our needs for capacity for the next year or so. With the current plans, we believe that we will be able to grow the airline further before stepping into the long-haul arena. Of course, our passengers wish to travel with us to every part of the globe, but we must assure our own survival before taking on a big gamble on long-haul. Rest assure, Australis has been in discussions with Airbus and Boeing in regards to possible purchases of long-haul equipment."
