Lol is this a joke? I mean a lot of people on AE aren't old enough to work, so how do you expect them to pay for that. Maybe $5 would be more reasonable. Or $0. You know, just to use some common sense.

Money can be made in other ways... See those margins on either side of this forum? Ads will fit their perfectly. Nothing over the top necessarily, just something to bring in a little cash. The forums are a basic feature of the game. Effectively taking them away would be a major blow to AE, and I believe that it would do much more bad than good. A lot of good players would quit, taking away the community really. I still agree that AE could make money, but in other ways than taking advantage of the popularity of the forums.

Just to point out my perspective, I want AE 4 too. Don't think that I don't. But I am willing to wait. So have some  patience and it will come. What we have right now (AE 3.1) is really good still.

 

And another note, people love games when they are free. So don't @*?$ this up.

Just admit it - AE4 is not coming out. Yuxi has gotten bored of this site and has given up on it. AE 3.1 is actually extremely outdated in terms of website development compared to other websites.

 

If you don't want the game to have to be paid for, there is always the forums.

But it will for the majority of people. I know AE 3.1 is outdated, but it is still fun. Isn't that the point of a game? And if Yuxi is bored of the site, then why make the forums paid if it is for absolutely nothing?

It's fun for you because you have only played for a month or less. If money starts rolling in, Yuxi might start working on the game again.

Either way, the forums themselves are fun. Taking them away would be a large blow to AE.
