Just put together a little trip report video from my trip last month to Shanghai, thought I'd share it here.

Dude that's awesome!! This actually looks really well put together, and for whatever reason, it sounds like you've done this a lot before. Awesome Job!

Awesome, man! Too bad United never put good IFE on their 747s... what a disrespect to royalty.

I personally never use AVOD at any great length. Although I would struggle without it for 13 hours. I watch 1 film on a flight at most, normally I don't. And I like not having a bright screen turning on in front of me while I try to sleep with limited legroom (I'm 5ft 5 with an inseam of 32 inches, so it's now a bit of a struggle on most airlines for me).

well, fair enough, but I do watch movies. Especially on long flights, I like to watch them back-to-back or with some music or TV shows in between. Plus - it is very hard to sleep on planes, I'm 6 feet!

Ouch! Talk of being tall for your age. 6ft is the boundary between being manageable and struggling. I am 5ft 5 and have not especially long legs and still struggle a fair bit.

Yes true - My dad is 6'5" and he hates it so much, so we try as hard as possible to put him in Econ plus and business whenever we can, but trust me, flying IndiGo on our vacation in India was quite a tough experience for him. not much legroom, plus no seat padding, plus a 3 hour flight without free anything wasn't fun for any of us (i got food poisoning from the buy-on-board), but my dad was in the most pain, because he could barely fit in the seat, and he really didn't like that at all.
I should point out there is technically AVOD, you just need to use your phone/tablet/laptop to watch it since it's streaming. There's also Wifi, but obviously you have to pay for that.

Yeah but still. My phone will not last for a long flight, are there power ports?

Yep there's power ports at every seat.

OK then that's the minimum I guess. I'd still much prefer an IFE screen, but I guess that it'd be survivable at least. Thanks for sharing.
Must have been one of the last United 747s because they're retiring them from the fleet now
LATAM
Thought I'd update: The 747 featured in this video, N175UA, was withdrawn from service on October 26th and is now stored at VCV airport.
