Last week I flew from YKA (Kamloops, BC) to ABQ (Albuquerque, NM) for work & then flew back from ABQ to YXJ (Fort St. John, BC).  It was handy because it allowed me a paid one-way flight from YKA-YXJ & I have to do a couple of those because I'm in the process of moving to Kamloops from Fort St. John.

Well nobody's posted here in a few weeks, so it looks like 2 posts in a row for me.  Nothing too special plane-wise, but a special flight for me earlier today since it just about completes my month-long process of moving from Fort St. John, BC (YXJ) back to my hometown of Kamloops, BC (YKA) after 10+ years of living up north.  All I have to do now is drive my truck & trailer 1000 km south in a few days & I'm done.  Now I have to hope my house sells...

 

Also was fortunate enough to meet some friends from YYC for an early supper during my layover at YVR as they had a flight at nearly the same time (we planned it that way).

First flight in a helicopter today.  Flew for work, but it didn't feel like work.  Flew from YXS (Prince George, BC) a few hundred km north & then back to YXS again with a fuel stop at CYZY (Mackenzie, BC).

Yeah, it was pretty awesome, not to mention that I got paid to do it! 

 

I fly again tomorrow, this time south from YXS, likely with a fuel stop in YWL (Williams Lake, BC).

 

Sometime in the coming months, I'll get to do a couple heli flights out of YKA & somewhere in the lower mainland (likely Abbotsford or Hope).
