I am in the same boat Hake, but its better to be able to barely afford it, than for your college education to be practically useless and standard for graduate school abhorrently high. Is it not?

South Korea invested heavily on education. They became the 13th richest country in the world within 50 years after the war, even though they have no natural resources. People are highly educated and they have one of the biggest middle income citizens in the world. They have a stable economy and they don't have problems, enhancing their economy and high tech industry because they have a sufficient educated workforce. Which impacted how low their debt is, unlike China or Japan who have problems keeping up their head above water.

A Trump candidacy would be the death of the Republican party, and if elected would be the nail in the coffin of America's world standing. With that being said politics aside, internally a Bernie presidency would frankly be a disaster. Not only because the ethics and practicality of his worldview are off base in my opinion, but this is not even my main issue with him (because this is purely subjective and arguable). My biggest issue is that Bernie does not belong in today's America. Now this is objective in scheme of things, you may claim America has changed and if this is true its not "the right thing". We can have constructive debate about whether the absolute incompatibility between typical western economics and socialism is "the right thing", but that doesn't change the fact that its true. The changes needed to accommodate Bernie's politics are simply to vast, and if implemented on the American economy we have today would spell DISASTER.  Just like much of the euro-zone has experienced, you can't change the scope of an economic system overnight, and with that said even 8 years. If you think we need a economic system solely based on redistribution you need maybe another 16-20 years of Obama-like candidates in order to SAFELY feel the Bern. Even then the debate is do the American people truly want socialism do they want to live like swedes? I think the answer is no.

And what I was saying is if its free or close to it, undergrads will be pointless. Thus, the amount of accolades needed for a graduate institution will be the new hump, and I cannot help but imagine that when this issue arises a liberals solution will be to make  employment a complete matter of government planning. (once not everybody can make it to graduate school which because of abundant undergrads will be the new "college")

In my country university is a fraction of the cost of what it is in the US... have you ever wondered why all the multinationals have relocated out here? It's because education is an inherent right (combined with a big feck off tax system, which is beside the point). If the US had more qualified people it could only work in your favours. Isn't it odd how San Francisco has a load of university spaces and a load of high paying jobs?

Europe's system has what is to me an abhorrent way of life, due to higher taxes, but also a unnecessary degree of government planning in their economies. Europe especially outside of Germany and Britain is an absolute s***hole. By 2030 when speaking about non essentials ( not developed world norms like running water, healthcare etc.) The U.N projects that Sweden will be considered a third world country, due to the lack of extravagance in their economics actions compared to other countries. Talk to Airwave about this, she seems to get it. Europe needs to wake up you may THINK your living well, but I tell you your living nothing like me.

I seems so. If only grammar fluency helped people build better world views. I think the internet would be a much better place, and maybe even improve YOUR worldview to be as good as mine. (this is half joking so don't take too much offense to it.)

I think you might mistaken Developed and Developing country. Third world country is a terms used to describe countries that doesn't participate on WW2. Because Switzerland, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, etc. is a third world countries.

Undeveloped or undeveloped have become falsely synonymous with third world. So I went along with it.

What I said is true though that came of Brussels after Sweden's economy had stagnated again.

For....? Proving that Sweden is already a third world country since WW2?

I mean I know their economy would slow down. But saying they would become a third world country is like saying that people in Denmark would start speaking danish in 2016, when they already speaking it for hundreds of years.

TNT the terminology was misused you have proven your point. However, it is commonly used the way I used it, to describe disenfranchised countries.

Sweden disenfranchised? They're ranked as a more free country than the US. We've actually been slipping in almost every academic ranking in that field. Do you know what disenfranchised even means?

They have been reprieved of their right to self-determine their economic affluence. The current upturn in their economy is due to temporary cutbacks in their bs radical economic policies. However, this is temporary and as this report says http://speisa.com/mo...ding-to-un.htmltheir actions are absolutely UNSUSTAINABLE. As my boy Milton Friedman said (former liberal), "One thing socialism will always lack is a sustainable economy, in which personal freedoms do not need to be infringed."
