My pick would be 787-8 (or maybe A330-200) if you need to keep lower capacity (for a wide-body) and long range.

787-8 is pretty much the way to go.

 

Only the 787-8, A350-800, and A350-900R are more efficient than the 767-300ER amongst planes that have a max capacity of 300 or more passengers.  The 787-8 is available half a decade earlier and is also 5-10% more efficient than those A350s.  The only real advantage the A350s offer is cost savings if you operate the A350-1000 (which will not outweigh the efficiency difference if you have a decent number of planes) and superior range (+200 and +1400 miles vs. 787-8), but these models all have a far wider range than the -300ER.
