Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Globe Alliance team are pleased to announce the rollout of new “Globe Alliance” branded lounges; these lounges shall be progressively opened at major airports on our network where we do not have a home carrier member. The lounges shall be jointly operated by our members that serve each location. Each lounge shall be designed for the maximum comfort of our guests featuring amenities such as; showers, à la carte dining, featuring signature dishes from our member’s home countries as well as local cuisine, and massage chairs amongst others. For our First Class and Globe Emerald guests we provide a V.I.P wing with exclusive wine and champagne offerings and a luxurious spa for that perfect pre-flight pampering.

Our first lounges are expected to open this year at Amsterdam Schiphol, Cairo, Copenhagen-Kastrup and London Heathrow airports. The standard entrance policies apply with eligibility limited to passengers who are travelling in First or Business class with a Globe Alliance member, or hold the equivalent status of Globe Sapphire or above in a member’s frequent flier program, or who are otherwise eligible to access a member airline’s lounge.

Occupying nearly 2,000 square meters, the Globe Alliance Lounge at Schiphol International Airport boasts an open plan design whilst being cleverly separated into three distinct areas for business, relaxation and dining. The décor draws on a blend of traditional and modern Dutch design, combined with Scandinavian and Germanic influences to produce a truly delightful setting. The dining area features large tables with seating for groups of two to four or bar style and includes a large wine bar ideal for socialising whilst sampling a global array of wines. Meanwhile, in the relaxation area you will find ergonomically designed chairs, day beds and lounges for a pleasant wait before your flight. Also in this area are the showers and massage chairs to help you refresh. The business area contains large work desks, computers, faxes, printers, scanners and telephones to ensure you have everything you need to finalise that project before departing.
