Depends on the type of airline. An LCC would thrive in higher competition, but China is great for large airlines.


They might, but competition provides competition for service, leaving LCC carriers cut short to full service, even if FSC carriers are quite rare. Also, shouldn't there be some kind of boost to the price an airline can charge if they are full service.

For instance, on one of my routes, London to Lanzarote to be more precise, I charge £260 per person for it. Comparatively, Easyjet charge £30, excluding fees, which do not come to £230.
