I've always wanted a limited "fifth-freedom flight" option in realistic worlds. It would further expand an airline's network.

Obviously I'd want everything in the list; it's the ultimate feature list for additional realism via complexity.

 

But for me, the hard timetabling is probably my favourite feature (and one that actually goes hand-in-hand with turnaround-based hard gating and hard slot pairs). Being able to schedule flights in the game would glue me to AE4 24/7 as I deeply enjoy it; one wonders if poorly-slotted services would suffer?

 

I would imagine that there might be some mechanism to reduce the popularity of, for example, a flight arriving at 0400.

Definately missing/Looking forward to:

 

*) routes with intermediate stops

*) flexible business/economy seat distribution for short haul routes (like common on intra-European routes)

*) more realistic use of gates i.e. not having to lease one "whole" gate for a once-a-day flight but paying for it according to actual usage.

*) delivery dates of aircraft shown in real-time as well as game-time!

 

Apart from that though I really enjoy AE, sometimes a bit "too much" - I'm already showing signs of addiction!

Slots to land are on their way afaik. It shall be great for small airlines, and it means one can serve proper destinations from places like Iceland.

Cargo, Realistic Time (28/29, 30 or 31 days per month), connecting flights and Demand, and seat pitch/width.

I have voted for several other things as well, however Cargo, leasing between airlines and the realistic calender days are my top three.  It will be interesting how everything turns out and how game-play is effected overall.
