I kind of hate it when bands break up, because that usually means their members kind of fade into obscurity and are forgotten. However there are some notable cases, Paul and John from the Beatles established successful solo careers. Jack White is obviously carrying on quite well after the break up of the White Stripes as evidenced by one of his new songs "Love Interruption". It's one of those songs that I became a fan of after just one listen, mostly because it just sounds classic, Jack White doing what Jack White does best.
