Looking at many airlines, I think that we should be able to let some pay extra for baggage. Many airlines charge €20 (don't know how many dollars it is) for extra baggage. Priority boarding for €10 would be good too. That could really make a plane profitable especially for budget airlines. These fees would not have to be payed by all of course.

In fairness, AE fare prices are already on the whole quite high (with exceptions). The only way you could charge for things like bags is to lower the overall ticket price.

True, Ryanair and the like do charge €20 for bags, but then the fare prices themselves are only €19.99. Not the $200 in AE.

True, but here in the US, you security fees, fuel fees, and if you happen to be carrying extra baggage, you get charged fees for that too, on top of the airfare you are paying.

But still, I'm talking about extra profit if your a budget airline which sometimes can't make profits. If I'm charging 35 from DUB- LPL and barely scraping a profit I want any bonuses I can find! Of course, you would be able to set prices for baggage, just like passengers, the more expensive, the less people avail.

I'm surprised you're making any profit at all with those prices. Good job though :)

On many of my airlines my prices are 1€ for internal and a max of 149€ european, would love to be able to implement more charges!

I'm talking about extra profit if your a budget airline

Don't budget airlines in AE already make a killing in terms of profit? You make it sound as if it's easier to make a profit as a full service airline XD

its not realistic tho supposedly...

It may not be "realistic" to stop airlines charging for extras (eg bags), which they can do in the real world... But look at the alternative, if we introduce more "charging for extras" using the current AE 3.1 platform, we're just going to end up with even larger 'spam' airlines... That's hardly improving realism, is it?

if you dontt like the game then start programming. im sure yuxi is gunna be meh on the idea of a "realistic world"... mainly because "realism" is subjective and has different meanings.

Hang on a minute... Surely my idea of keeping the game 'as is' would mean less programming for Yuxi? You're the one that wants to add extras that would increase Yuxi's workload, so why don't you do the programming?!

You know it's a shame you only caught the trailing end of the discussion, it wasn't my idea - but it was one that chat collectively liked the sound of... All the questions you raised were answered in chat.

Do we have to discuss this here? I'd quite happily start another topic, but this has nothing to do with the suggestion raised by evin air

Since Yuxi plans to lower profit margins, i would like to see this feature come in at the same time. Posted Image

Until then, it just seems to explode profit margins even further into unrealistic heights.

Ok then, would like to see this very much for the profit changes in AE 4.0 but until then, don't bother
