On a side note, (right now at least ) Canadian Airlines is the #1 airline at Vancouver International Airport, controlling 8% of all traffic. (Believe it or not, yes, 8% is the highest market share at Vancouver)

No, obviously that's not the world's top cities, but it shows the commitment of some airlines to grow in their destination. And, may I add, they are top cities in their respective regions. As has been said often enough before AKL is not exactly a place to generate heaps of cash. And still I managed to build up a fleet which now reaches not only Australia but a lot of Asia and the Americas as well. If I had generated my cash in Europe or the US and then decided to take over AKL, my 50% marketshare would not have been any achievement. But as things are I grew locally and still managed to build a major presence in the Pacific. That is an achievement of which I am proud, and, I dare say, rightly so!

That's quite alright. It's just the same old joke and quite frankly I'm getting sick of it: "3RA is no good, hahahaha..." Very funny!?!

I never said anything else. After all I'm a founding member....... Yes, we're not an alliance of top 10 players, but so what? Most of us are actually doing quite well at our locations and a number of our players are well in the top 100 or hovering around the 100 mark (including myself). And beside the purely statistical data, which I think doesn't say a lot about what an alliance can do for their members, I just love being part of 3RA where airlines my size are actually valued and not simply dismissed because we decided to go serve a particular location rather than making big bucks!:saint:

That is SO right, at the start of this round, i could have gone to a better airport, LHR, ATL, JFK, ORD, CDG, MXP, etc,
but no, i chose MAN not because it was gonna make me tonnes of money, but simply because MAN is my favourite airport, ever since i was a kid,
imho, 3RA is the BEST, better than ANY other AE alliance, (other alliances may flame me for that remark, but i am sooo not bothered :airplane
