baw-select, for a guy that just joined this alliance in the past 24 hours, you claim to know everything from Dan's point of view. If so, we are just both blind-sided as you claim in previous posts.

And btw, im a moderator as it is meant to control the forum and take action when need be. My opinion on this issue, has no bearing on my position in this forum. You trying to link both is upsurb and inappropriate.

• I stand behind Chester on this situation 100%. He is the founder of this alliance and he can decide to do with it what he wants. He was given an opportunity to join the most exclusive alliance in this game and he took advantage of that offer. There is not a person in this alliance that would have turned that down, WAA is where all the most experienced players are and they have all accomplished a great deal and are looked up to in this game.
  
• I agree with most members on here that the 3RA is now gone and Chester is the only person that can say if it goes or stays. He is the founder and he did all the work to get the 3RA up and running and also keeping it up and running. Even if he did not actively participate he was still the glue that kept 3RA together. Not only that but ITS HIS ALLIANCE!!! Again if he wants 3RA to be closed and the alliance shut down than that is his decision and we must respect that. 3RA is his "legacy" (for lack of a better word) here on AE and he should be able to preserve that however he wants. I would also like to say that I do not want this "new" alliance using my logo. That logo was made for 3RA which is now closed. I trust that Dan will do the right thing and make a new alliance and leave 3RA alone, but if not thank you for not using the old logo.
• BAW Select... where do I start! Didn't you just have problems with AA over saying you were a founder when in fact you had nothing to do with founding that alliance? I remember a few weeks ago when you started a thread about how much you hate Dan (Highflyer) for lying to you and how he is a fake and a fraud. How is that going for you? When the 3RA was still together as a normal alliance you applied and were denied, how is it that you are in now? You have NEVER been part of the 3RA or had access to the private forums so where exactly are you getting all of your information about what happened in the past few months? ? ? ????? I guess the point that I am trying to make is that you are so full of crap that you just have no credibility. What gives you the right to comment on this situation?

I have always respected you and thought that you were a pretty nice guy and I guess that is why I just don't understand this. You seem like you are a normal guy and are capable of making good choices so why all this? Why if Chester wants to close 3RA would you fight with him to keep it open? Do you not believe that the 3RA name belongs to him? I hope that you can help me to understand exactly what you are doing. Just FYI, if you would have came out with a new alliance and BAW Select was not in it I think many of us might have joined....

Wow! 3 frauds in one thread, UAL,Dan and BAW

I have a idea. Its what I'm working with on W900A right now, and maybe this will help you guys. Why not try to make a system where all the airlines run the alliance, not really a CEO or a leader (though there will be a big voice in the alliance, no doubt about that). The person "running" the alliance could be there for things like maintinance of the forum or website and getting people in (don't know how you guys put in new members). And try to have a few guys with a admin account too on the forum. So if the "main" guy steps out, then there would be somebody running the forums and keeping the forums alive as well as the alliance.
Just my two cents, I hope that no one minds my advice.

We don't have a problem with the running of the alliance, as far as Im concerned Dan and Temasek run it, im just another member

Fiest of all UAL, AA and me never had the problem, the problem was with some of the former AA members who didn't understand that I meant I was a founding member for this round. Me and AA parted company on good terms and I am still incredibly greatful to them. Secondly, any of the problems me and Dan had before are in the past and for you to drag it up is childish in the way you use it to put across your argument. And given that you have dragged it up, I will say again, I never hated Dan, in fact quite the opposite, and considering your next few sentences praise Dan, was it not you who said to me that no-one can ever make friends over the internet and that I was a loser for trusting Dan? But at the end of the day that is all finished with now, me and Dan have resolved our differences and I asked if I could join the new 3RA, which was accepted. I agree, I know nothing of the workings of the old 3RA and have never ever made out that I do, all I know is that the founder wanted to close the alliance, some of the members were not happy and therefore they re-started the alliance. I am here to defend Dan and Temaseks actions and the only question I made referring to the closure of the alliance is how can you just close an alliance? Yes, the founder can leave, which from the sounds of it he did, and according to the founder himself piercey took over his position which correct mer if Im wrong means he loses all rights to close the alliance. TBH if it bothers you former 3RA members soo much that the new alliance borrows many things from the old one, I will talk to Dan about it and see what can be done. And I'll ask you the same question you asked me UAL, what right have you to comment on this thread, TBH, what right have any of you to comment on this new alliance that borrows some of your former alliances identity? And UAL, you seemed to have a problem with me right from go, i tried to sort it out with you and you blatantly ignored my apology, which TBH i didn't need to do, because your problem with me was not really due to anything I hade done directly to you. And I agree with you again, AE is only a game, so why all get your backs up over a copied name and a borrowed logo? I had to accept when my old airline had a duplicate operating out of the same base so maybe you people should accept that for the moment 3RA is around to stay, whether you moan about it or not

And as for the quitye franky cruel remark about no-one wanting to join because I am in it, there is only really one person in the former 3RA who I ever had a problem with or one person who ever made it clear that you disliked me, is you UAL, and if there are more please tell me

Although the WAA has helped gizgiz to some extent, he is not a member. It's simply friendship. The WAA (or Maestro to be precise) has (or had) friends in ACE, GWA, Intersky to name a few.

Maestro, like most players will be 100% up-front and express his views and would assist any players, the notion of alliance would have little effect if Maestro wanted to assist you.

Well, as you certainly realise, the name thing on AE is a matter to talk about. You will sure know that using names that include things like British Airways, Virgin, FlyBe, American Airlines... do violate the copyright of names of real airlines. You do need have a right to use this name in the first place, so you shouldn't be getting angry at anyone using that name, too. Talking about artwork (e.g. the 3RA logo), you will certainly agree that it is indeed copyright protected by the owner or artist, which in this case seems to be UAL747DEN. If he does not want his work to be used by anyone, than you will have to accept this. Same would happen if an airline was asking you to change names. I am not sure about the name of 3RA itself, as it does not seem to be a protected name, but giving the fact that this is "just a game", I am sure you could use any other name for your alliance. In fact, that is how the real world works. When something is messed up and they start from scratch, they normally pick new names as not to give the impression that the old, broken-down alliance, airline... is still connected with it.

I'm 99% sure UAL747DEN didn't make that logo without breaching copyright laws, so the logo shouldn't be in use in the first place. Read the logo thread, he's admitted to stealing material.

And, I may be wrong here so don't shoot me down, doesn't the artist have to actually formally copyright the logo, and use the little c in a circle to ensure that it is never re-used. AFAIK I do not breach any of the copyright laws because my airline's official name is Jersey Airways(flyBe) which isn't a registered trademark or copyright, and my logo was designed by RedJet and I paid him to do so. And I don't really care about the alliance logo or its name, although if UAL is so against us using the logo, even if it was never his in the first place (which I do not know so therefore I cannot copmment), then maybe we should change the name and the logo, so as not to cause confusiomn and upset. I will talk to Dan but it is not up to me, so I don't really have a say, as for my logo, it will stay this way until I get told different by either Dan or Temasek, as it is a requirement of the alliance to have the logo incorporated into your brand image.

And felix, Im pretty much relaxed out, apologies for my rather unfair outburst to you yesterday, as you can see, I was getting it from all angles, you just got the blast.

Had nothing against your logo in particular at all, justed wanted to leave a general note on the name thing (flybe does exist in real life ;-)). I know it was made after your request in the logo thread (thats right, isn't it?)

According to European law I am sure you do not have to tag every image with a circled c. It is kind if automatically copyrighted.
Was just told that UAL may not be the owner of the image, so to avoid any confusion or problem, the best would be to make a new logo for a brand new start.

Happy New Year to you too, and yes my logo was made by another AE member, and don't worry, I didn't think you were jiibing at me. If the European law is as you say it is then I will talk to Dan and Temasek and see where we stand, and if it was stolen by UAL in the first place, for want of a better word, then we shouldn't use it anyway, I might ask Sam if he fancies designing us a new one, but I'd better check first
