re-raising the point. issuing bonds should not necessarily lower credit ratings... the revenue generated from leased airlines should be taken into account. credit rating should only drop if an interest repayment is missed...

One arm and leg to purchase them, then the remaining arm and leg as the fuel bills add up month after month.

Anyone want to wager on how long it is before you either sell it/them out of frustration or spiral downwards into financial oblivion ?

Any chance of introducing a monopoly ban? such that say an airline operates more than 30% of daily pax demand should pay a fine... so as to discourage large airlines from operating excess capacity just to price out competitors?
