Ok, for quite a while I ran an airline with an all 727-100 fleet. When my profits went down the tube I looked for a way to cut costs. I decided to add the DC-9-30 and 737-200 to the fleet where able to replace the 727's. The plan was to decrease fuel usage.
Dispite adding 36 DC-9's and 15 737's the fuel usage for my airline stays the same. Even with the slower speed of the aircraft compared to the 727 the fuel burn is low enough that the swap should be saving me money. My fuel usage has stayed the same dispite adding 51 more efficient aircraft to the fleet and taking those 727's off the flight line.
Possible bug somewhere to look at?
