My joining date is wrong

Hi,

 

I just joined the site today, but I joined through steam. For some reason it said I joined in 2016 (the year I signed up for steam) and now I can't join the beginner's world because of it. Is this normal? And if it is, is there a way to fix it so I can join the beginners world?
