In Topic: How do other airlines maintain such high load factors

Unless you have way to many flights, or that route is just overwhelmed. you should be able to get 100% loads by matching the price.

I don't have a problem with the size of the airlines per sé, but sometimes when I start a route and am the only one on it, someone just bombard the route with such a tremendous over-capacity that nobody could earn a dime from it anymore...

If that's their interpretation of fun, so be it...I don't care...

 

I only flood a route when someone comes in and puts 3x the demand on a route that is basically already full. I will still almost always make money, and get to mess with a bad spammer.

1 first class seat = 3 coach class seats

 

1 Business class seat = 2 coach seats
