Hot damn, I'm now a university graduate. I still surprise myself by checking into this site every year or so even though AE is clearly not going to be around for much longer

This site was an important part of my early teenage years. I recall spending hours upon hours playing, expanding my first airline (Fly Connected) and thinking and fantasizing about possible routes in school. While I never really lost interest in this game, I became addicted to reddit and new priorities entered my life, and I gradually stopped visiting AE. To basically sum up the rest of what I wrote here, because I like closure, I never really brought myself back into the world of AE. I have other things to do, and I just don't care for it. But this was such a huge part of my life that I want my account and (embarrassing) comment history to be visible for years to come.

This guy asked me to share a link to his site. I posted a link to the forums. I think he had maybe four or five members on his site (a forum), myself included. The guy got banned, I wish I could remember what for.

Foxtrident was one of the more prolific members of airline empires. He seemed to be around my age, quite a bit smarter, put lots more effort into his posts, and I think he is still active today under a different name (same account).
