To reduce the overcapacity on some routes I was thinking that, if the placement of airlines was done on the basis of distributions to shareholders over the course of the game then it may be more realistic.
What i mean by this is that each airline have an external account that pays 10% interest for instance. The player can transfer money to the account, where it will earn the interest till the end of the game, but the money cannot be transferred back to the airline. The position of the airline would then be determined by the value of this account rather than the value of the aircraft owned.
