Issues I've Posted

    Date of Delivery Glitch/Bug

    Posted 25 Nov 2011

I pre-ordered a Q200 in R4 and then right after I leased 2 Q300. I figured since the Q300 were already in production/being delivered that they'd be delivered first. However, they've been queued up behind the Q200... which is still two years away. Is there a way you can stop that from happening? And for me what's the best way to fix the problem (or do I have to cancel my orders, lose my deposits, and reorder?)

I remember something similar happening in the previous Beta with the 777-200/ER/LR and the -300/ER. Same situation: I was getting orders and orders until I did a pre-order and then everything started queuing up behind that even though the others I'd ordered were being delivered and I even had some in the airline.

Thanks for your continued hard work, as always :)

    Fluctuating Profits

    Posted 5 Jul 2011

Good afternoon! Sorry to bother y'all again.

I've noticed with my smaller regional/Hawaiian airline (Yes, that one again :P) that I've been going from making lots of money to making negative money. Some of it is my fault for more competition/switching planes/etc. But I THINK the problem might be connected to the IFS bug (the one where it automatically updates all of your IFS even if you do it from one route).

When I update/open new routes, I always go to the "change all IFS defaults" button, which updates my flights. But I think it might mess something else up with profit because then I went back a few hours later and saw that I was suddenly negative profit (about negative $13,000; had been making +$200,000 earlier today). I went and looked at some routes and, despite having 100% (or close to it) on many routes, I was losing tens of thousands of dollars. It's also true for some other regional flights. Example: After updating all the IFE (and therefore there being none in my regional stuff on mainland because of the other glitch), I was making $-12,000 on PIT-MDT. I go to the route itself, hit save again, and now I'm making $5,000 per day on the flight. I'm (as of this post) the only one on the route and only actually providing 50% capacity for the amount of seats on the route.

Do I have to go into each route individually and re-save to make the routes profitable? Changing IFE and "match lowest price" doesn't work and I can't think of any other way to change stuff about all routes at once. I only ask because I don't want to see this one go under because that'll really mess-up my route structures out west, although I do have a different plan if/when that happens :).

Thanks again for your hard work on the game, I'm still really enjoying the Beta despite the bugs!

    Can't Purchase Leased Planes

    Posted 30 Jun 2011

    Hi Fellow AEers!

So recently my life (and computer) exploded spectacularly, hence why my airlines have all but frozen in growth; I need to rebuild my charts and route planning from scratch. However, I did notice a bug this evening. I also can obtain screen shots but I'm going to try and explain it first.

I leased a bunch of MD-90-50's and now that I have obscene amounts of money, I tried to group buy them all. But I couldn't. Half of them did go fine, but the other half show a lease expiration of 0/0/0000 (a problem I know you are all aware of) and it won't let me buy them. It let me buy the others, but there's 8 that are being stupid and not working for me. So I got a message that said "oops... the aircraft you selected has a total purchase value in the negative. Looks like you can't buy them all together; try alone." So I did. Same message. I saw that some people had gotten free planes because of this bug, but it won't let me do anything with them. They're currently not being flow on any routes, they're just sitting in Pittsburgh, taking up space and getting fat. I use Firefox. It has a Criminal Minds Persona. That's probably irrelevant.

Thank you in advance, as always, for your hard work and consideration!

    Unwanted IFS Changing

    Posted 1 Jun 2011

    Hello!

This is going to take some explaining, so I apologize for the exposition. Before Beta and the 2-airline limit rule, I had 4 "subsidiaries" (so to speak since I know those aren't in AE yet) of an airline that I operated, and I combined my Hawiian and regional airlines to rectify this. This is causing a unique (and violently irritating) problem. The big issue is that I have 8 IFS set-ups: 3 classes for International/Mainland Hawaiian flights, 3 classes for regional flights in the US, 1 for inter-island Hawaiian flights, and 1 for EAS routes.

Whenever I switch one, regardless of where it is, it switches all the rest of them. This wouldn't be a huge issue, but because of competition, I can't operate any inter-island flights with even my economy class of service for the mainland regional or mainland-Hawaiian service. Normally, I'd just set it via the defaults on the IFS page... unfortunately, that messes with the mainland regional routes, so I can't do that without losing rep on those routes. And, of course, when I switch it to Inter-island, it switches up the mainland routes too, and it just becomes a hot mess of angry passengers and unprofitable routes.

So... yeah. The issue itself is that the IFS automatically adjusts itself to ALL my routes, even when I want it only for two or three routes. For the short term, I'm just making my mainland passengers suffer with the Inter-island stuff in economy, but if you can offer any advice, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for all y'alls hard work on this game, though :D. Easily the best airline simulation game in the world.
