The aircraft that can serve LCY is grosly inacurate, they have some pretty tight restictions on noise and approach angle, which meant for years the only jet that could land there was the BAe146 / RJ series, the current list of approved aircraft is added. also the gates need to be more restrictive, as they are limited to 120,000 per calendar year and this depends on the noise generated as well see

or with the dash 7, you can make upto 1.5 million movements per year
As regards to MSE, it doesn't fly many routes at the moment but it is being considered as part of the current review of SE England air movements for considerable expansion, it has space for a second runway and could serve even the biggest jets, their current master plan involves doubling the current number of gates by 2019 and a subsequent serious increase in passenger numbers.
