login problems

Is it just me or is everyone else having login problems in to sim3 classic

I tried numerous times and i was getting a message saying something wrong with server please try again later.

Hello All including mods.

Isn't it possible to let sim3 game run without it ending. It said that is going to be ending in yr 8 couldn't you leave it playing without stopping at yr 8
