EAST MIDLANDS - Flybe today announced that it was to commence operations with East Midlands Airport as it's Headquarters and primary operating base.
With it's initial ATR 72-500 configured in a 2F-2C-65Y layout, Flybe's launch routes are from East Midlands to Belfast (21x weekly), Edinburgh (21x weekly) and Newcastle (18x weekly).
Flybe hopes to commence operations to Glasgow, Dublin and London/City and other European cities with the 3 Bombardier Q400 Dash 8s and 2 Dornier 328s it has placed orders for with the respective manufacturers.
