Does advertising actually affect anything? Cuz I don't wanna be throwing 200 million down the drain every month for nothing.

I've noticed that the advertising increases your reputation, in 90's beta I got +11% because of my advertising but in the open beta I only get +9%... that said I could be entirely wrong

I'll just add that in the beta, if you look at your total reputation, as shown on the airline options page, the reputation "added" by advertising is shown as a blue bar, similar to the way that connecting passengers are shown.
