Realism is of utmost importance for me so I welcome this change.

It is to me too, but i think considering the fact that while like someone mentioned there are similar number of airlines in real world (which i doubt but even if), most airlines in AE operate in US or europe, and not on regional level

This will surely force them too, though, wouldn't it? 30 airlines on LHR-JFK in real life would cause someone to go bust, and force them into new markets making more players move out of the US or Europe.

And how is making players go into markets they dont want to go going to make this game any more enjoyable. I mean, afterall its all about having a good time. This is not a game to train airline managers, so why force people to go into dofferent markets

I assumed that people want to run a successful airline, which is the good time, right? If everybody wants to run a successful airline out of LHR or JFK then we'll have (and I suppose we do) problems. The airline I had the most fun running a while ago was a NBO-based Kenya Airways. Little competition, and I flourished and it was fun. Not bad considering I'd started it to provide onward connections for my LHR-based airline, especially when I found Africa more fun after a while.
I think that if people realise they can run more successful airlines out of other places, they'll probably take it. We're competitive as a species, so naturally people will want to climb the ranks, and if being based at LHR and JFK hinders that, I think people will move about.

I enjoy being based in us because it offers many cities and i can have a large fleet and many hubs, smaller countries dont offer that and once yiu creare routes to destinations that you want, there is no room for expansion. This new demand, only makes the game less fun by forcing people that want to be based in us or europe into markets that not only do they not know about and dont know of good destinations out of there, but also marketsthat thy dont care about
